I like how you make it so the player can directly engage with the environment in a tactile way just by traversing it, walking across vents and pipes, through doors and up ladders.

I love all the industrial and brutalist variations in BLAME! its actually one of the only manga series ive really gotten into just because of the scale of that structure. And holy crap you did really well, capturing the large cold open space and mixing it with the small maintenance booth really gives it the comfy yet uneasy vibe. Keep going!

i would love to have a map like this where you have to sneak through these industrial parts and the actual gameplay comes from not knowing if you're gonna jump in a bad spot of no return and having to get places without being seen

the towering structure stretched further than anything I could comprehend. pipes, vents, valves, what function does all of this serve? I hear distant sounds that never seem to be close to me, who maintains all of this?

Awesome map! I would love to see how you could get it looking with different lighting and particle effects (ex: darkening the overall area, adding red pulsing lights, lights behind spinning fans to cast interesting shadows, sparks from exposed circuits and wires, steam from pipes and from unknown areas below) the map detail is great and I liked the variation is how the character traverses through it. It also kind of gives me the early level vibes of STRAY.

There's this now free game called NaissanceE if you want more of that
@insertmemorableusernameher6795 Жыл бұрын
ive played it, it had cool architecture and platforming but i felt its artstyle lacked the grit that blame usually has
@trainee5471 Жыл бұрын
@@insertmemorableusernameher6795 I had played NaissanceE before reading Blame!, so the lack of grit in that game didn't bother me, and I could appreciate its artsyle for what it is. I agree that grit is a huge part of Blame!, but the idea of megastructures is compelling enough that it does not require grit to be there for it to stand on its own feet, and any other kind of atmospehere can be built on top of the concept of megastructures. Something theological maybe, a giantic gothic temple? Plant-based megastructure, like a world tree? Spiritual/astral/ethemeral? Digital, like Tron 2.0? There's an unexplored world of things to be made giant, and I urge people to be open to exploring these new ideas.
