Even though my lawyer told me to stay away religious issues in divorce court, it came out that my daughter's JW mother would not, under questioning, agree to allowing a life-saving blood transfusion for our daughter. The judge was outraged and I (father) ended up with sole physical and legal custody..........which is almost unheard of in California. These crazy doctrines do not stand up under scrutiny and make no sense to anybody outside the "Organization".

This is so true. My friend was married and the man abused her in EVERY way, and her children and the reason why she stayed is b/c she thought it would b “unscriptural” to divorce him. After YEARS he admitted (he lied in the past) he was cheating on her, with other men! She then divorced him and the judge asked why she hadn’t left him years ago and she told him it was b/c of her “faith”. The man has HIV and her neither her children contracted any sexual diseases and she is convinced b/c she followed Jehovah, that’s the reason she is alive today. Not one of her children are JW’s to this day. And she can’t find a mate in the Org and refuses to look out. She goes through all this suffering in the name of religion. And for what? I hate it for her and it really breaks my heart, hearing stories like her’s really makes me hate the Org

@@Findmy_Way-Home Horrible! I discovered, in court the the JWs have something called "Theocratic Warfare". This allows for JWs to lie to their heart's content........due to the fact that the court system is under Satan's rule. They don't have to play fair by telling the truth as winning supersedes all else.......like truth and facts. My ex-wife went a little crazy and accused me of every horrible thing she could think of including Marital Rape!!! I didn't know that actually existed, but apparently it does. Ironically, my ex-wife had a strange habit of walking around the house naked much of the day and night..........so when my lawyer questioned her about why a rape victim would be parading around nude in front of her assailant, that accusation evaporated. I kept thinking that the JWs most likely wouldn't care or do anything if marital rape were actually occurring. Incredibly masagonistic, I kept imagining how one of the 7 (now 8) would give a "talk" letting the Sisters know this is allowable under Jehovah's system of things! They truly are toxic!!!

At 13 as a young JW I denied a blood transfusion for myself along side my parents and the elders…. Until I didn’t have enough blood in my body to be conscious. Thankfully, a transfusion was court ordered by the hospital and I’m very grateful for that.

As a medical professional myself, having spent the better part of a decade in Med school and worked in surgery the last 6 years, he is pouting utter garbage, anemia in infants is a grave threat, leaving the placenta attached is not a viable option, the reason being no actual blood transfer occurs in the placenta. I was in the HLC for 6 years. I actually have been in training with Sanderson, LC cotton, Ralph walls, and others. In handling neonatal cases I was always relieved when social workers and the court took over the case. The newborn would live and the parents would feel guilt free (it was beyond their control) but I’m sure, relieved that their baby was getting treatment needed. Just let the doctors do their thing!!!

As a witness parent who went through "needing" HLC support because my infant needed life-saving surgery that required a blood transfusion, yes...that's exactly how I felt. Relief. It was beyond my control! The pity of the congregation only helped comfort me that I did the right thing, the faithful thing and yet....I still carry guilt that I didn't advocate for my child, put my child first -- if the surgery was going to happen no matter what, why was my "stand" so important???? Symbolism??? Fuck that. Fuck all of it. These rules are cruel and only exist for control purposes, because that's what I was. I was controlled. And my child could have died because of it.

My jaw is on the floor…having had a 0lb 13oz micropreemie infant at 25.5 weeks who was in the hospital 275 days and had over 15 transfusions for many different things. I work at a German hospital and checked our document system for JW forms after one of your previous videos on this topic. Surprisingly, one of the documents was an already pre-filled form with a list of blood components which JW patients refuse. Just imagine such a thing existed in the document system for catholic patients, who consider a vasectomy or tubal occlusion - and a priest or bishop would be called to enforce the catechism… I put the topic and forms on the agenda for the board members to review. It turned out, the medical director has a JW acquaintance, who had sent members of the HLC with „human skills“ to inform the experts on the JW views and alternative treatments. They convinced the doctors, that the suggested procedures and forms would make the hospital „JW-friendly“ and serve as a means of „patient acquisition“. How sick is that? At least I managed to get the worst documents out of the system with the help of your arguments. Thanks Lloyd for disclosing the JW bigotry and charlatanry once again with their own material.

My Father was told he needed bypass surgery. The Drs were refusing to abide by the witness rules. Having just gone through bypass surgery with my Mother in law I knew what was allowed and not. The Elders in his congregation were called. They didn’t even know what was available for witnesses. I knew more than they did. I had my elders email me the latitude they had from the “society”. My Fathers elders wanted us to use that hospital, with the possibility of softening their views on witnesses. After dealing with the blood issue personally many times “faithfully”, I said to them they weren’t looking out for what was best for my father, not to make “their job easier”. I went to another Dr and hospital that was 15 miles away and did most of the bloodless surgeries in the world. The surgeon there told us my Father didn’t need bypass surgery. He needed to stop drinking. He did. His heart got better, until he started drinking again from all the crap the elders started on him because he didn’t listen to their stupidity. They made him so miserable like he was wrong, they ignored him and cut him out of everything. So after a few years he gave into them, I didn’t know he was going to get a pacemaker. They convinced him to give the former hospital a chance to work with the JWs. He didn’t need a pacemaker. It caused strokes on him. He had 5. They killed my Father with their stupid illogical ideas because they used guilt and pressure. He didn’t need the pacemaker. It was defective. He had it replaced a couple times. He did great without drinking. They caused him to start up again. I have no doubt he would still be alive if I hadn’t gone back home to my own family and stopped the elders from encouraging him to be used as a Ginny Pig.

I never understood this ideology, its sickening. I remember making a pledge to myself as a child at one of the meetings, that as soon as I turn 18 I will be donating blood. It turned out that I actually have a fairly rare blood type thats specifically given to newborn babies as its CMV negative. I think it was meant to be ❤️

In Canada, we also face the fact that, different provinces have differing policies regarding medical care and what can or can not be done legally. So, getting a One-Size-Fits-All solution or (even better) ban/overturning of WT/JW Rules and Interferences, is going to be difficult at best. But, You are correct. It has to be addressed Legally at the top. Most Hospitals/Medical Staff don't want the responsibility of Confronting Religious Practices and Beliefs.

As a child I was taught about the pagans that offered their babies as sacrifices to the Pagan God Bael. Yet the organization has no problem encouraging Parents to sacrifice their children to death so they can bring praise and honor to Jehovah. I have had a problem with that since childhood. And especially after having my own children. Anyone that has watched a premie born, the cord is cut and baby whisked away to get it breathing ASAP because every second counts. Not leave it attached. The mind control and the belief that we had something nobody else can see (because we were special) is powerful and the abuse we experience as kids really does reinforce that, I guess that's why they do it. I was lifted off the ground my my hair in the 6th grade in front of the whole class for not saluting the flag and that convinced me I was special because of the persecution. And to be perfectly fair to medical professionals, jaundiced babies in all the hospitals I’ve worked in have special “Blue Light” therapy treatments where newborns are placed in warm incubator type boxes, blindfolded to protect their eyes and cared for wearing only a diaper. Routine bloodwork is done by heel prick to gauge the effectiveness of the blue light in reducing the harmful level of bilirubin which causes the yellowing of the skin and sclera. But Watchtower takes the arrogant attitude that they know everything! Indigenous people the world over knew that sunlight helped “yellow” babies for thousands of years. It’s old folk medicine. Guess Watchtower experts don’t know that modern hospitals have been using blue light therapy for decades!

I am sure that a blood transfusion is not the first option if there were other possibilities. I didn't study medicine but I am interested. My full term newborn had jaundice which made it very sleepy and unwilling to drink. Sunlight helped. B u t this wasn't a premature severly sick baby! It is disgusting what he states. He thinks he is a genius, but he is only a guy who is not ashamed to tell rubbish which is putting lives in danger and take lives!

My niece who was born 5 weeks ago had problems with a too high Bilirubin count the first 2 weeks. She was put under some lamp in the hospital and had to sunbath regularly. Luckily it helped lowering the count and now all is fine, but I cannot imagine how someone could risk serious brain damage to their child just because they rather want to waste critical time with other stuff in order to avoid a necessary blood transfusion. This organization is so dangerous, it's horrific.

As a trauma surgeon who is often in the scenario of transfusing some or even massive amounts of blood I have really appreciated your videos. When I had a patient who was a JW, I was able to explain some of what is believed to my residents. This made our ethics conversations as we watched the patient die from lack of blood-a devastating situation for any doctor. Also we were all given a booklet of “advice” from the JW’s and the HLCs. To say this advice was insulting as a physician was an understatement. The advice consisted of things I would expect most medical students and definitely the more experienced residents to know and to practice on all patients. For an example it was recommended to “stop bleeding quickly”. Talk about stating the obvious. Thanks again for your videos helping to teach non-jw’s about these teaching

I left the Jehovah’s Witnesses just a few years ago after 45 years and watching this makes me truly realise how utterly disgusting and deplorable the teachings are. How did I not see it? The seriousness of it all only smacks you in the face when you leave. And boy, does it hurt. Who DO they think they are? When he said “have the doctors actually exhausted all alternative treatments…” They are doctors with decades of experience who are trying to keep people alive for goodness sake, how disrespectful can you be? My JW father now has advanced colon and bowel cancer and needs regular blood transfusions which of course he has refused, drastically reducing his life expectancy. And now I also have to come to terms with the fact that I won’t ever see him again when once upon a time, I’d have had faith in the resurrection. Don’t underestimate how much this religion totally screw up your life even after you’ve left. This has to be stopped.

1) In the course of his work (health professional) a JW who, on the orders of his hierarchy, gives a transfusion to save a young child would not escape a judicial committee of his congregation for having participated in a "Watchtorian" transgression. 2) In the case where the transfusion is the only means of saving a young child but, that the nurse JW refuses and consequently causes the death of the child this sister will be prosecuted for non-assistance to a person in danger. Will she also be prosecuted by a judicial committee for blood debt? This is what the Ubuesque and Kafkaesque politics of Jehovism look like.

I lost my daddy to this "rule", and at 13, my mom almost sacrificed myself to it too. I was required, with her standing there, to tell the doctors that "I was prepared to die for Jehovah", while my mom was grinning like a Cheshire cat...she actually told me that Jehovah would cure me or not and besides, she had 3 other kids, soooooooo... Years later, my kidney quit, and I needed blood to survive..for a nano second, the old brainwashing kicked in, but I kicked it right back out. I would have missed seeing my grandsons, and just life, if I'd done what they wanted. These bastards have soooooooo much blood on their hands .. So many people don’t understand that it’s not all about volume. Sure volume will help BP. But it doesn’t help your kidneys brain or heart that are being denied essential oxygen. The organs fail and the body fails. Ischemia (lack of oxygen to the cells) is what causes most heart attacks (arterial blockages) and some strokes (also arterial blockages in the carotid or a blot clot traveled to the brain) If the red blood cells aren’t there then the same things happen because oxygen isn’t being transported to vital organs. But what do we know? 🙄

I would like to correct a very slight mistake in your information. Sunbathing is an important part of treating neonates with these medical conditions. Ideally, babies should be almost naked, and receive sunlight without intervening glass, for example, closed windows, The difference with what Sanderson said is that kids need complete treatment by specialist doctors in a NICU, or Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. And the treatment might include the use of donated blood or blood products. One of my kids went through this difficult moment. He was born with a salmon-red coloring on all of his skin and stayed in a NICU for his first two weeks on Earth. His treatment included a lot of sunbathing and might have included blood or blood products. He went on to become a healthy, awesome kid.
