She's really on to something. What Marilu said about people seeing or hearing the same thing. ..walk away with completely different memories. So true. I wish memory class had been offered back in high school. That would have helped a lot.

My mom remembers being a baby and a lady who had a small veil on her hat looking at her in her crib and it scared her really bad. She had a great memory.

I have this. Triggers. Linearizing thought. Having a good childhood you don't want to forget doesn't hurt. It's complex and simple at the same time. I can go back to age 3, and I absolutely have zero explanation for that, except the trigger. I was playing go fish with my grandmother on July 10th 1976 and pulled a tube out of my ear.....two days before my 4th birthday. This obviously doesn't prove it in and of itself.....but I relate to this at about 98%.

That is so cool and I feel that it’s amazing to have such recall to the past especially of fond memories and those we love that have passed on. I have a terrible memory and it saddens me that I can’t remember many things from my past. I’m only 62 yrs old too.

I think I have a touch of this ?? My family and friends are shocked when I'm like " oh that happened October 14th 1982 - the Patriots lost to the Jets 23-16. We went to the mall and watched the first half at Sears. Then we went to Nanas house etc. So my touch points are sports.

This is fascinating. I am curious…. Are there any days of her life which she experiences difficulties remembering that particular day…. Due to special circumstances such as illness, etc? If she remembers everything…..is she incrementally adding knowledge in her brain? Are there any physical or chemical differences about her brain?

I think everyone remembers everything. It's just that it is not filed in everyones mind the same way.I remember only in video not stills but I can't find a memory unless I find the trigger to start it. At times I can jump into a memory with out looking for it. It only takes a song, A smell, or something I am seeing and it does have to be something I thought about before. Could be a first time realization. It's freaky because at that point I know why. (a-ha moment) I always thought it was because of my dyslexia That allowed me to file stuff in such an unusual manor. Just recently I found out that our DNA holds a recording of everything that happens to us especially life threatening traumatic experiences. If you asked me to play a song on the guitar my mind would go blank but if someone started playing the tune I would go into it. Any Who I think the human mind is amazing. Thanks for sharing. c];-)

I can't say that she has an EXCEPTIONAL memory, just like all of you gathered here. Neither she nor any of you mentioned in the comments how you arrived on earth for birth and the moment of birth - NONE OF YOU SAID IT. Neither she nor any of you mentioned - approaching the earth - what did you - SEE? And you are trying to convince everyone - you, like her, are SPECIAL?

Yeah I can say what I was doing when I heard John Lennon was shot. I can also say that I was in the bathroom brushing my teeth getting ready to go to bed when I heard it on the radio.
