It's crazy to see Device and KRiMZ (and CadiaN who did not get to the list but appeared in some of the killfeeds here lol) still perform on the highest level, while the rest of the players completely faded away or had to reinvent themselves since then (props to apEX here). However, I have to argue with 'glove update' sentiment. I feel like what happened to CS:GO is the same thing that inevitably happens to all of the sports nowadays, as we have way more data to work with. I follow football (soccer) a lot and also Dota 2 scene, and they both changed from being a sports of charismatic individuals that were able to turn the game around themselves into a structured team sports that are extremely interesting to analyze but unfortunately are way more boring to watch as a casual viewer. I often come back to 2014-2015 fragmovies of CS:GO to see KennyS, GeT_RiGhT and even Maikelele perform, because that was the time of a beautiful, uncontrolled chaos that allowed these players to bloom. I have no doubt that modern stars like ZywOo or Ropz would demolish those old lads even in the latter's prime form, but they are simply not as exciting to look at. But that's what progress looks like. We don't get Ronaldinho and Beckham in football anymore as well, but we have xG, aroung a hundred different counter-pressing measurements and goalkeepers that don't even need to catch the ball nowadays, as it's more important to see them pass properly.

Only just now had the time to sit down and ONLY focus on this video (to not spoil anything!) Fantastic movie, great players and great highlights. I loved the mixture of frags as it was usually fairly easy to think of the players' best highlight, which would then show up as the first clip and then the second clip would be a highlight from a long time ago, that you barely remember anymore. Wigglly Wagger if he were overrated how come he drop a 45 bomb against ldlc only a few weeks back, where epsilon ended up beating them 2-1? and do i need to point out how RIDICULOUS that is considering how much of a scrub team he is playing on.. u can't just say that he is overrated when the fact is that scream is the ONLY thing keeping epsilon alive, once he gets a better team epsilon simply disapears from the top scene.

GTR is number 1 because he is consistent. Not because he has the aim and amazing shots, it's because he understands the game. GTR will probably always be in the top 5 for years to come because he always plays at the top of his game. Sure other players made good plays, but they never show that much consistency.

2014 my favorite year for cs go. It was plain ans simple cs go then, and now new gloves? new sounds? new spray patterns? nerfing every good weapon?
