Everytime I see an 0 gauge loco, I'm always even more tempted to sell my 00 to go into 0. Really like the sound profile on the 50 as well, sounds like the real thing. Keep up the good work with your garden railway Mike and stay safe to you and the team James

I like you thought about 'O' gauge when I started my 'OO' gauge railway two or three years back because I like the size I like the extra detail you can get in and you can get better results with the sound because of the extra space inside the locos. Whilst I have the space for 'O' gauge as I'm having my hayloft converted specially for the railway it was the price that put me off with an average of £600 to £700 for a locomotive and £250 to £300 for a coach and wagons at anything up to about £90 I was looking at over £15000 pounds to replace my stock like for like. I also looked at the price of points and crossovers and they also were anything up three times the price of their 'OO' gauge equivalents. I am in the happy position that I can afford to buy 'OO' gauge stuff without really having to worry but I couldn't do that with 'O' gauge. So sadly I will have to look covetously on at those who can afford to do the scale justice.

Hi Mike. The sound chip on the Class 50 provides an amazing quality sound system 👌. It sounds beautiful going round the garden layout, the birds in the background add to the realism too 👍. Stay safe mate, kind regards GWR

I own just two O gauge locos, a class 33 in BR blue, and a class 08 shunter. I hope to have a short run of track for them later in the year, but for now I’m building my new 00 gauge layout in my newly fitted out garage....

Do you only have delisle engines or do you have steam engines as well?

I’ve been in O gauge model railroading sinceI was 3,According to my parents ! I’ve always been a big fan of Lionell and 1/48 scale Modeling ! I’m watching you guys and I’m seeing you run your O gauge trains (“outdoors”), now the “question is” this is it a real 1/48 scale O gauge or is it more like the Märklín 1 gauge ? Meant for running trains outside like in the USA we use G gauge or garden railroading but with the ability to run it at 1.20 scale or 1/39 scale Some custom jobs come up to 1/29 scale allowing them to use 1/24 and 1/25 scale cars and building ! But O gauge ??? I’d be afraid of the Electricity alone ! I know the garden-railways have A from of mechanisms and sometimes even have radio control with their own motors that run under their own power !!!! So how can you get away with running a O gauge, even if it is 2-rail,outdoors ? The minute it rains you’re done and come winter I’ve seen one gentleman here in the United States who built a scratch built power snowblower that he would attach to the front of his locomotive and he would be able to clear the ice and snow enough to run his completely out in the middle of winter but then again he used specific parts and specific trains !?!?! Confused Jorge 🌊🐺
