The 21700 is a must for multi-beam high power flashlights. And the USB high current charging is industry leading. I think the floodlight is not bright enough. They should have made that 1000 lumens. Most people don't need 2700 lumens of throw. I notice that many brands under-power the floodlights. Maybe it's a thermal management issue? Honestly, if I had both the spot and flood which can reach 1500 lumens and perhaps have both running at the same time at 1000, with two red LEDs it would be a winner. I went on the website and none of lights seem to meet this spec.

All the marketing positions this as an industrial tool, but i love the fact it has a warm floodlight for camping so you don't blind friends, and aren't walking around with jarring white light. Is there another model in the Fenix range that you'd recommend for me?

The warm light is a great feature - helps with seeing in dusty and foggy conditions too! The HL32R-T has a warm flood light on it so would work in a camping environment (goes down to 5 lumens in that warm light)

can you turn on both lights at the same time? if not please add!!

Like all of the single button units (HM70R, 60R, 61R etc) - The HM71R only has one light available at once - for dual beam operation, HM65R or one of the HP units.

Sir🙏 The new Fenix Hm 61r V2. O comes with 1600 lumens. There is no flood Or spot modes differently, so the beam will be combination type i mean 1600 lumens combined flood & spot? From your practical experience which one will be perfect Hm 61r V2. O Or Hm 71r ?

It really depends on what you are using the light for. Having a dedicated flood and spot beam gives you more options. The HM61R is relatively floody due to the TIR lens. HM71R is on the heavier side so if wearing for a longer period time it could become tiresome. As said it really depends on the task in hand.

Can you waterproof this?

HM71R is waterproofed - comes with IP68 rating at 2m for 30mins as standard!

Nice, but headlamp only with 18650.
@FenixlightUK Жыл бұрын
Only issue with having this with an 18650 would be the high output would really eat up the battery! Maybe Fenix will do one similar but pair down the outputs a bit!

@@FenixlightUK Perfect. I wrote this because in the past on one of my night rides I had to take off, after 2 hours, a headlamp with 21700 because I had a pain in my head.

Was it mounted to a helmet? or just worn on your head? I can imagine the lateral and vertical forces you get with cycling would give you a headache with no helmet. Maybe a separate battery box like HP25R? For running, people wear a Buff underneath to help spread the weight out.

I ordered one of these for my parents and I just realized that one of these is heavier than an iPhone, which is quite heavy to hold on your forehead

It is a bit heavy - the HM61R v2 is a lighter option

No strobe or sos

As a work light, its really not necessary to have strobe and we'd recommend pairing it with a BC05R v2.0 as a marker light.
