What band is playing at the end of the clip? Their uniforms are remarkably identical to those of the King's Guard, apart from the different colour on the tunic and epaulettes.

Its the "Marsch- und Drillkontingent des Spielmannszuges Oberlichtenau". Back in 1999 they saw the King's Guard in Alsfeld, Germany and started "copying" the drill and uniform. 20 years later they had the first opportunity to play together.

They aren't veterans. This is the Spielmannszuges Oberlichtenau. Back in 1999 they saw the King's Guard in Alsfeld, Germany and started "copying" the drill and uniform. 20 years later they had the first opportunity to play together. This was also the first time for the guard to visit the eastern part of Germany.

Well, I did try to keep my distance. I was also familiar with the show. But I had to get closer sometimes because of my camera lens. Anyway have you ever seen a TV broadcast of The Edinburgh Military Tattoo or Basel Tattoo? They too film up close to the performers. I don't see a different there.
