at minute 19, when calculating the pxi, I do not understand why it is a product of aij. Besides, the product has as variable t but aij has no t. The same for the observed oi. Either you made a mistake in the product index or there is something I don't understand. The probabilities I calculated are very low, for example: P(x1)=0.08, P(x2)=0.036 and P(x3)=0.012. Could you elaborate a little more? And another question: why is it hidden if you know the transition probabilities and also the number of states. Shouldn't it work only with the observed? Thank you. Clear and simple explanation of HMM. The best of what I have seen. Could you do one for Connectionist Temporal Classification? I believe it uses HMM as well.

I am almost at the end of the video.. and i have to say, you are the best teacher i have ever had. I was playfully enjoying all this complex mathematics as if this was nothing to be afraid of... and my sister came in beside me and got shocked at what the fuck i was actually studying which seemed so complex

Hi sir. First i am very thankful for the amazing tutorial. Secondly i wanna ask you a question what happens if i dont know the emission at time t ot. Which means that at time t i dont know the state of the dog neither its behavior. I already tried to resolve the problem and i want to ask your opinion. Best regards

Did you get the answer? My understanding is that you will need to know either one. Without that I don't think you'd be able to do the calculation.
