Hmong people have come a long way. In the last 40 years, we have become doctors, lawyers, open schools, malls/ flea markets, centers. Everything is a process. We are still first and second generations. In my 40 years of observing our Hmong people, when one starts to make money they either forget their own kind or they become greedy and steal from their own. There are a lot of good people doing things behind the close doors to help their own. Just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not happening.

I think rather you're hmong or any other race, you got your bad apple and you got your good apple. We're not above any other race, if you keep holding hmong above every other ethnic group of people then you're going to be disappointed when Hmong don't live up to your standard. If you only pay attention to the negative thing that take place within the Hmong community, thats all you're going to notice. But in reality both good and bad exist for us to judge, when one does good we praise and complement, when someone does bad we reproach and reprimand. Such is the nature of human.
