If transmitted by aerosols? Why is it NOT airborne? @Ambika Mam

You have raised a very valid question. For a disease to be classified as airborne, the particles released during coughing or sneezing must be tiny, can stay in the air for long time and travel long distance like common cold, COVID 19. For diseases which spread via droplet mechanism: Droplets are larger and heavier and come in contact with the mouth, nose, or eyes of someone nearby. Some diseases can have both modalities of spread. HMPV is primarily spread through larger respiratory droplets that fall to the ground within 1-2 meters after being expelled from the respiratory tract. These droplets require close contact or contaminated surfaces to transmit the virus effectively. Airborne pathogens (e.g., measles, tuberculosis) can remain infectious over long distances and for extended periods in the air. HMPV, while capable of limited aerosol spread, lacks the stability and infectious potential to sustain true airborne transmission over distances or time.
