Don't fall victim to online fraudsters claiming to be from HMRC. If you receive an email or text offering a tax refund from HMRC, DO NOT DO ANYTHING WITH IT. It is a scam! Watch our video on how to identify such a message and what to do next.

Tricky one, you gotta decide if the scammers are any better or worse than HMRC.

I have received this knd of text and I think I have given out my personal details but not the bank details. Is there anything to be worried about?

Hi Hassan. You can forward suspicious text messages to HMRC on 60599 (text messages will be charged at your standard rate). We cannot advise on the consequences of having shared your personal details but we suggest you remain vigilant against any fraudulent activity and further phishing attempts against you.
