HMS Diamond and other ships in Palma - Mallorca - Majorca - 27th June 2024

I read in the paper that the Royal Navy Type 45 destroyer, HMS Diamond, was in port so I had to go down and have a look.
The vantage point I chose was the San Carlos Museum on the Dique Oeste, Porto Pi.
It turned out to be a good choice, with an excellent view of the warship and all of the other ships that were in port.
I was lucky enough to catch ships coming in and going out.

Nice to a Royal Navy ship in Palma. In the 80s we were invited onboard the USS CONCORDE for a ships tour and we had a meal with the crew in there mess. Great experience. We met some of the crew in the Britannia bar in Magaluf and it was them who invited us onboard. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Hi again Steve and Anita , just a quick text for now . Journey home was so easy , left hotel at 7am and Palma airport was deserted ! Through customs / security by 8.15 and ready for flight home . Thanks Steve for another interesting video. You have done so well with the weight loss so congratulations to you. I enjoyed the videos of Malena and Louis when they were visiting you. I was sorry that I kept missing you when I was in Palmanova in May but I will be back at the end of September so hopefully bump into you then. I have to tell you...the Virgin cruise ship...what a floating "Block of Flats" ....maybe, they are building construction designers ? HMS Diamond is returning from a long deployment in the Red Sea, hence the rusty look. The graceful lines of the cruise liners of days gone by seem to have been lost to a bygone age. We are now left with the floating blocks of flats. Progress...
