I was on hms eagle from 1970 to her end in 1972, I served as a electronic warfare operator, and to this day she was the greatest ship to serve on, why they scrapped her and not the Ark is one of the world's mysteries

My dad took me and my brother to see HMS Eagle when it visited NZ.. I been interested ever since.. cheers from down under 👍🇳🇿

in 1958 I visited Eagle at Istanbul...my first tea with milk...now it's my favorite :)

great video...music was a good way to make the work move quicker and beer and spirits on board? not the usn way which was too bad...i will share with grandson who plays tuba in a us army band...he'd been to iraq - thanks again !

Yes it covered the early withdrawal from Aden in the wake of the Suez Canals closure following the 67 war
