I think Holley did mention that out of all the beavers she's rehabilitated, Tulip is the most vocal one 😊. I also heard somewhere that baby beavers tend to be more vocal when they eat because that's one of the ways they beg older siblings or their parents to leave some food for them. Very precious behaviors 🥹

I am so glad that they were both warm and cozy. I love it when Tulip starts to get tired and starts falling back on you and wanting to cuddle close. Her little sounds and mannerisms melt my heart. I'd love to know what Stormy decided to do with the hay you gave her. The shavings she made for bedding still impress me so much. They blow my mind every time I see them. More interior decorating tips from Tulip 🌷 Hey Tulip 🌷- I don’t have hay/straw, but I do have 22 pillows on my bed plus 3 wedges, will that work?! 🤭 Tulip 🌷…you are too cute for words 😍🩷 I absolutely love it when Tulip 🌷 is grooming & all of a sudden, she falls back or thrashes about to get Doc to hold on to her & provide scritches & scratches 😍 We have survived the Polar Vortex! 😂 It is currently +1°C (34°F). If you’re keeping track, we went from -19°C/-2.2°F with a windchill of -28°C/-18.4°F at 08:00 hours this morning to this. That is a change of twenty degrees in just under eight hours (we hit the plus one a few hours ago).

Straw is better than hay for keeping animals warm because it insulates and repels moisture...if you're wanting to keep them dry. Hay soaks up moisture.

@decyattysyachpchyol I honestly don't know... I have a feral cat colony and that's what I use. The Alley Cat Allies say to use straw because hay stays wet and gets moldy. I have Googled it to make sure it was sound advice and didn't see one website contradicting that😊

She doesn't really. Holly still tries and she will allow Holly give her a little bit of pets and pick her up when needed but her face everytime is like "What do you WANT 😒" lol she definitely doesn't demand it like tulip. Tulip has also tried interacting a few times but as they are both females Stormy is kinda like "why are you over here?!" and will hide from her at the bottom of her pool. It's getting better but better these processes are slow, especially not knowing exactly what she went through in the wild before hand. In Mississippi where they are many consider them pest and will dynamite their dens and such so, could have a lot of trust issues to overcome. But it's definitely much better now than it was when she first arrived and was very sick.
