This is where you're wrong if you think they can't face him 1v1. And what is the point of facing him 1v1? Is it a 1 player game or a team based game? Lastly, nullified means to make something of no value or cancel it out. So, try and understand the context. His porting forward was 'made of less value', that it was 'NULLIFIED'.
