HND or 3RD CLASS TO MASTER’S/PhD in the USA or Canada (No Need for a Postgraduate Diploma) - PART 2

As an HND graduate from anywhere in the world, it’s not compulsory to have a PGD to get accepted into a graduate program in an American or Canadian university. You just need to evaluate your credential to equate it to a US Bachelor’s or Three years or more Canadian Bachelor’s.

I am little confused about Nigeria hnd and Ghana hnd. I am from Ghana and I have completed hnd in civil engineering and it took me 3years to complete this program but unlike Nigeria you guys were talking about 5years and six years to complete hnd....can I use my 3years hnd to apply for school outside???

Thanks for your comment, Sir. I would think you might have to start afresh on the WES US website because as per the difference in the equivalency between the two nations, they will report slightly different grades, So a direct transfer of documents may not be possible. However, a transfer of your record may be possible depending on the package you selected during your evaluation. FYI The Basic Evaluation does not store your record on their database.

You stand a good chance at admission and even funding. You just have to be ready to put in the hard work and be diligent in the process.

I don't know any school that don't as long as you evaluate and convert your transcript to US Bachelor's. Search for schools based on your personal situation.

Your GPA alone doesn't decide your chances. They take a holistic look at all your application materials.

Admission decisions are made holistically. You gather all your documents and apply. You'll be admitted to a program you don't know so much about by most schools. All they want to see is that you have career goals in that field of desire. This will be shown on your Personal Statement, Statement of Purpose, or Personal Essay. I'm not sure I understand your question. If you send your report to a school you didn't apply to, it'll be trashed eventually because there's no applicant record file for you. But if you want to send it to someone in the school to peruse and see if you stand a chance of getting accepted, you can send the person your unification applicant copy.
