this ending would be a 10/10 if kim pulled out a vape instead of a cig because smoking is bad and she could promote huell's new smoke shop "better juul huell"

i feel like the reason he called cinnabon with his one phone call was a nod to how he doesn't really have anything left. he's burned every bridge he's got, which is what helps him make the decision to properly fess up in the ending, imo at least

100% Jimmy and Kim won’t see each other again. It’s hard to explain, but when Kim is leaving the prison, and looking at Jimmy through the fence, at a certain point, the camera hangs on Jimmy before he disappears behind a wall. It’s definitely a shot that represents that that moment was the last time they’ve ever seen each other.

While I find the black and white color scheme annoying to watch, I think it did serve one major role of separating the past and present. Of course we the audience would have fully understand the time difference without it, but having it reinforces the present (or the future if we think in terms of the whole story of BCS and BB). It reminds me of when architect utilize raised floor inside a studio apt to indicate separate utilities sections within one continuous floor space.

Really enjoyed the podcast guys! Sad I wasn't able to hear the 3 hour unedited version. For me the first three seasons are the best, I do feel like something was lost when Chuck died. And while I liked this season a lot, I felt at times there was just too much going on, which is my only complaint as well with this finale episode. Favorite scene, probably was the scene with Chuck and Jimmy with the time mission. Anyway, really enjoyed listening to the podcast after each episode of the show!

My biggest appreciation of BCS is how it ties two shows together. A lot restraint, planning, yet there are plenty of imagination went into the mix. It may not be as flashy or high stakes as BB but I still love BCS for so much reason. The way the script and cinematography latches onto one detail and have it connect again and again. Like I always wondered why Jimmy blew off Howard right after Chuck died. He acted like he was ok for three seasons! Finally he lets out that he never was. Definitely had me convinced. Obviously the rather not subtle theme of time traveling since the chronological order of the show’s production vs the actual story time line. But the biggest punch in the gut is the book which Chuck had in his hand after Jimmy left his house. The entire time Jimmy is asking about time travel I think subconsciously he is thinking and missing about the time he and Chuck got along, reading together inside a tent.

Shoutout to cinebad for referencing Jimmy's "Sex Robot" voice with his mic this episode. I don't think this is what the writers were going for, but I was thinking about the finger guns at the end, and they are a callback the last point Jimmy and Kim could have salvaged their relationship. If he could go back in time and stop that plan from happening, Howard would be alive (unless he randomly visited them to play cards or something), and their relationship wouldn't have been ruined. Still, if Jimmy prevents Chuck from killing himself, he doesn't fail to cope with it, and he doesn't start harassing Howard for no reason in the first place, so I'm glad they picked the point they did. I still think Jimmy and Chuck are the primary dynamic of the show, so I couldn't be happier to see Jimmy finally reconcile with his past and accept that he is a McGill again. Johnny Cooper was on to something by reminding us that many fans speculated Jimmy might contract EHS in prison. It is entirely possible that instead of EHS, Gene's mind actually tricks him into seeing black and white, and it's possible his panic attack in Season 3 led to Jeff appearing much more menacing in Season 4 and 5, but by the time he was seeing straight again, Jeff looked and sounded completely different. Jimmy realizes in the finale that chain smoking might restore the color in his eyes, but he would rather live before color was invented than get lung cancer like Walt. Also, the rest of the cast are still cowards for not watching Slippin' Jimmy.

This has been the only podcast I've consistently watched since I found it during the S6 break. I love your guys' commentary and I'll miss catching up with these! My favorite scene of the season is a really hard tie between the film crew setting up the photographs or Howard in the board room (both from Plan & Execution) but i LOVED this show.

I think BCS is good sibling sorry to BB. While both show have running themes regards to lies, hurts, regrets, and manipulations, BCS ended with love in my opinion. When Saul heard Kim confessed after giving her shit the previous episode something must have hit him. Maybe it’s because he cares for Kim and perhaps with admiration mixed in. They bring out the worst and best of one another. I think that’s why he threw it all away at the end because he needed to come clean. It’s better to be in jail and live as yourself vs living a lifetime of lie on the run. Funny how Jimmy ends up in jail. He almost gone to jail but he begged Chuck to free him, starting this whole wheel.

What a crappy ending. I don't buy Saul's turn to spent over 80 years in jail. The last season was really convulted and mediocre.
@Ryglado16 сағат бұрын
I agree. The moment it started feel off was when the actor who played Jeff was switched, totally changing the tone. Then how Howard was killed off. Then how Nacho just killed himself for nothing when he could have gone to witness protection with his father. Then how Lalo was killed because Gus happened to hide a gun. Then how Saul got guilted into accepting the zillion year jail sentence. And more. So many strange choices and that’s the problem with prequels. They have to reset to align with the start of the original show. I was fine with just imagining the backstory of Saul, Gus and the rest.
