Hopefully less packed once people start using it for transportation only. Still, every city needs it and if it takes people of the streets, it's good. Evidence of HCMC's quickly developing status.

Unfortunately most SE asian cities completely aren't taking busses and bus lanes seriously. Metros are nice but without busses you can't cover a wide area and many trips still have to be done by car/scooter

Took 12 years to complete. When the government has announced that they are building the first metro in HCMC more than 12 years ago. Many elderly people were very happy and looking forward to have a chance to try the metro at least once in their lifetime. But it has tooks 12 years to complete which they promised that they will not take longer than 5 years. It is so unfortunate that many of the elderly people could not live long enough to have a chance to try the metro before they depart this world.

Wow man, this is cool you did this Wild after the Japanese "Problem" back in 2016 for this getting delayed its cool to see it done Just watching this video though its going to seem like its going to die off rather fast People already pushing each other, when it stopped people struggling to get out because the aunties are trying to get in first (Similar to traffic, hospitals, and Big C store) Not to mention it'll become a Grab bike hang out for customers..ohh that's going to be fun massive venders and grab staff always after you 🤣 The yelling, no trash cans around...Saigon def hands down is the most of Modern western cities (Da nang is fun but saigon wins) but end of the day no matter how western it looks its still Vietnam. Just hope it doesn't blow up, catch on fire, or collapse like most Chinese ones have been this past 2 years. No joke though imma have to head down to Saigon to check out the train though - 12 years i've been in Vietnam combined that place has always been under construction. Great vid on the over all though - Does has that Bangkok some what look with a Singapore train platform look

Don’t break your arm patting yourself on the back! Will Saigon ever catch up to Bangkok’s system?
@freemanol9 сағат бұрын
Bangkok's system is nothing to be envious about. It's a disjointed system, all privately owned with high ticket prices. No busses to link areas farther from the metro stations either. They're still building more and more lanes and highways thinking it'll solve their problems

Such a big city only 3 coach trainset at least give 6 set train shouldve built 8 coach train set from the begening
@keurikeuri78517 сағат бұрын
Because at the time it started planning 3 coaches is seemed already enough for the city and also the budget. And even if they wanted to add more coaches now it will not be possible because it will became too heavy for the original design of the tracks. Possibly the next Metro line they can incorporate that idea. Here in the Philippines our earlier Metro line LRT1 only started out in the 1980s as 2 coaches then it increased the number every time a new line is constructed. It increased to 3 coaches for MRT3. Then LRT2 having 4 coaches. Though the new Metro line opening next year MRT7 will only be a 3 coach trainsets, the new Metro lines being constructed right now NSCR and Metro Subway that will open on 2030 will use 8 to 10 coaches trainset system.

@ manila lrt can easily modify to mrt train 5 coach mrt train with cbtc signaling new power output line
@keurikeuri78516 сағат бұрын
@@tukaidas1272 LRT1 already reached it's maximum coach number which is 4 as stated before during an interview back in the earky 2000 when someone asked the people in charged of it if they can add more coaches and extend the platforms more. Remember this line is constructed in the 1980s meaning they need to rehabilitate the entire line if they want the trains to accomodate more coaches. Regarding the MRT3, it is already currently running 4 coaches after Sumitomo Japan did more maintenace of the trains. I remember the officers reason on why they can no longer increase it to 5 coaches was because they need to extend the platforms and doing so they need to close some of the stations in order to do it which is not feasible.This is very important because elevated stations needs further reinforcements in order to carry the additional weight of the much bigger station.
