That looked really good man, well done. I just bought the exact same motor, but still a complete noob. I would like to maintain the same slow speed on my machine. I have got a seiko STH-8BLD-3 and I am on speed '1' and still really fast for my sewing (still a beginner). Am I missing any other settings that should be changed as well, amongst the other menu tabs? If you could remember from memory if you to change anything else. I really appreciate your effort and time. Cheers

Thank you very much for your message, and it's a pity that I have not used the machine for a very long time... The machine is in storage, as I've recently moved, and I don't remember the different options. When I need to do it will struggle! 😅😅😅 Thanks again! 👍

if you haven't managed to do it until now, here's a tip: you can slow down the speed by using a speed reducer system. there are a lot on sale on the internet (just google "sewing machine speed reducer"), but you can also make one yourself, at a lower total cost. just use 2 pulleys: one 3" pulley next to a 7-8" pulley, mounted on a shaft in a self aligning bearing unit. the belt from the motor goes to the bigger pulley and you will need an extra belt which will go from the small pulley to the sewing machine

Thank you for this video. i am thinking about buying a Pfaff 1245 for sewing multiple layers of webbing. Do you think the 1245 is up for this task?
@deltajohnny3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I'm sure that it would do it perfectly, as I've used it to sew really thick leather, and it did it very easily 👍👍👍

Thank you for showing this comparison. I got a few questions. When the minimum speed of the ESDA in display says 05. Does it mean, that the minimum speed of the motor is 500 RPM, when you just touch the foot pedal very Little so the motor is just activated? And I got the similar question for the Hsing G60. When the minimum display value is 01´- does it mean, that the minimum speed of the motor is 100 RPM, when you just touch the food pedal? So the speed range of this motor is 100 - 6500 RPM.

Thank you very much for your comment 👍👍 I don't know if I'll be able to help you with your questions, but I'll try 😉😉 I think that when the Esda motor works at its minimum speed, 05, it works faster that the Ho Hsing at the same number? Therefore, I cannot confirm that the RPM are the ones that you indicate. Perhaps someone who reads this can help us 😉What I know for sure is that the Esda motor is less smooth and far more stressing for a noobie 😅😅😅

I think, that many of the servo motors sold for leather sewing machines do have some issues. I have got general knowledge of Electric motors and the Electronics, and it seems to me, that they could be better made for sewing machines. I did make a homemade speed control for a domestic machine to show off what kind of control is possible. It is of cause also possible on industrial sewing machines. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4WlaXekrr50oqM

How's the low end torque in this motor ? I sew a lot of veg tan leather and have heard these motors can't start off through thicker materials.
@deltajohnny2 жыл бұрын
No problem at all. I also sew thick veg tan leather, and it does it very easily, from the very beginning, even using thick needles. Thick belts are a piece of cake, and I got surprised 👍👍

Thank you very much for watching this video, and you can try to find a PFAFF dealer in your area, or if you do not find any, you can ask for any industrial walking foot sewing machine 👍👍

Perfect!! 👏👏👏👏 If I had had the possibility of slowing down the Esda motor, I would not have needed to buy the new motor.... How would you slow down the Esda motor? Thanks!
