HO IC SD70 Test Run Montage YouTube

New Power for the Meridian Speedway Fleet.
Two new Illinois Central SD70s arrived for operation on the Meridian Speedway. Their debut run was recently held on Greg McComas' Michigan Interstate as sole power on a coal train. There is even a meet at Grey's Lake with a train led by the MCIS 30th Anniversary locomotive.
There are also plans to paint several of these for my Y&MV proto-freelanced regional.
This video is a montage of clips from the inaugural run. The locomotives are equipped with factory installed SoundTraxx decoders. Besides the P5 horn not really sounding like a P5 and the non-LED lights, these units are great!

Ahead of you have five painted Texas Railway using Texas Mexican Railway Decals .Upgraded them with roof AC, large plow, and roof mounted PTC antenna (short version used on UP SD40-2N units) . Did one with Operation Lifesaver from a KCS decal set will probably do two more with OL logo looks real good on these former IC SD70 . Used unnumbered IC SD70 units for my project originally planned to do IC but doing my own road was a natural with these engines.

LONG LIVE THE I.C.! And you couldn't have picked a better layout to video them on. I've been drooling over this layout for about a year now, and it just keeps getting better. Some of the best use of real-estate, I think I've ever seen in HO scale. He's doing a bang up job. You would never realize how small it was from the videos on KZbin. speaking of which... could we see some more videos of the operating sessions in the future? Especially now with the addition of signals? I check in on his blog a few times a month but nothing beats the videos. So long, happy railroading.

you gotta change the CVs the loco is apparently programmed to an RS5T horn
