HO-Layout Update 2017 - Fascia - Dispatcher's Office - Digital Occupancy Detectors

This is the first update of the UPWFO-Layout in 2017. Here you can see what happened: First of all you can see the fascia that was installed, than you can take a look inside the dispatcher's office that is hidden behind the big helix. Finally you get an overview about the digital components of Digitrax and Blücher which are operating and managing the whole layout automatically...

Extending the fascia to the floor makes for an attractive, clean appearance. Even with the access panels I'm not sure how well this will work over the long term. Crawling into the dispatch center certainly wouoldn't be compatible with my arthritic knees. It is a good looking layout.

There's some good work you have done there with neat wiring of your Digitrax DCC components. What made you decide not to use BDL168 boards for your detection sections?

Hello Digitrax Dad, the Blücher boards will give 8amps to each detected track - so I have always enough power for many MUs running on the layout. I think the BDL boards give 3amps to each detected track... Thank you for your comment ;-)
