I took a break from the event, the good news, after the last update Ho-OH dont tank attacks in an anormal way anymore, I just came back after testing it and the strategy keeps working, just make sure to have safeguard active before beating the 1st stage.

I tested it and works great, the only time I needed to rematch was when I got poli without tailwind exposed to raikou. Also that softboiled prior to round 2 make the difference.

I tried this strat and blazed through the first phase but ho-oh has air cutter and obliterates my team in second phase. Is there any thing i can do?

having the same issue right now too, havent figured out what to do but I'm going to try and burn my poliwrath and chandelure turn with sp def + sp atk, and softboil the togekiss. Havent broken 50% so here's to trying!

@@Grinchler first phase is easy, i am talking about second phase where hooh mosty used solar beam, that is very rare, after xmas update hooh spams sacred fire then solar beam

The devs nerfed this already, ho-oh battle starts with raikou instead of entei, 2nd phase is harder than in the video

@@yourworstnightmare5516 After the patch. There was a donor of the channel that reached out and asked me to make a Ho-Oh video. So upon his request, I scouted Bell Tower to see if anyone had a solid strat. Then I saw how well NinePK defeated Ho-Oh, so I asked to feature his strategy on RRN.

When you say 10 times, was that when Entei was out first? I ask because some commentators were having trouble with Raikou or Suicune leading. It should be noted that this is the best strategy that I could find as of now.

@@RoyRogersNews it was different for each run, I was able to get out of the 1st phase after I learned the dogs. Raikou after suicuine is definitely an issue in the first phase but you can play around it with x speed on poli. The problem I personally ran into was the 2nd phase and just getting blasted thru even with the switching. Idk It feels to random
