My grandfather's caboose was a red Reading # 94000 till he retired. I got to ride in it to the Rutherford yards several times , late 50's and early 60's

My grandmother's father worked for the Reading 1930's. He had a section of track that went through Minersville, PA. She rode on a Caboose the one time.

@skerbs7755 I'm considering on putting a Blunami decoder in and a Cugar cube speaker in my U30C once the warranty expires.

@hoscalereadingrailroadhobb6314 Quick question, the Atlas silver U30C is set up for 21 pin correct? I haven't taken the shell off yet. Just wondering if you knew.
@hoscalereadingrailroadhobb63145 ай бұрын
@@skerbs7755 Yes, recent releases are 21 pin, at least they should be. Trainworld.com's website will tell you in the description.

Nice channel, saw your comment on trains in the valley and thought I should check it out. This is how I find train KZbin channels.😊

@hoscalereadingrailroadhobb6314 That would be pretty cool! Let me know if you end up going through with it as I also just purchased an Atlas RDG U30C with factory sound over this past weekend. I'm not too thrilled with the current ESU sounds either

@rbmnrailfan2102 I'll be making a video sometime this year or next year about Blunami. It's not just the sound I like that's making switch to Blunami.

Yes, I actually have noticed this with both Atlas and Bowser. Seems like the KATO drive system is best for very low speeds.

Picked one up today 🤘 got 6300 since it's still around. Changed the horn to make it more prototypical but other than that it's good 👍 i would highly recommend keeping ESU in this though and not switching to blunami. Tsunami is good dont get me wrong but it all sounds almost fake. ESU sounds alot more natural AND if you learn how to program you can put your own sounds on it
@hoscalereadingrailroadhobb63142 ай бұрын
@NinetiesNolan I will be making a series of videos on why I'm switching my fleet to Blunami. As for sound, a Atlas sales person has already admitted to me that Athearn locomotives sound better then Atlas. Mainly due to the speaker.
@NolanwP2 ай бұрын
@hoscalereadingrailroadhobb6314 yeah Tsunami uses a bassyer speaker ive noticed that. My RTR SD60 sounds really nice thats an Econami in that. Honestly if you throw a tsunami speaker in this i bet it would sound really good.

@NinetiesNolan The Blunami is a Tusnami2 with a Blue Tooth receiver.

How does it handle tight curves? I have FM24-66 Train Master that handles 15" curves well
@hoscalereadingrailroadhobb63146 ай бұрын
I would assume it would handle a 15" curve. At the time of this video, I was using 18" curves. My Atlas U30C, Atlas H24-66 Trainmaster, and Bowser Alco C630 handled 18" with no problem. Later, I changed to 22" curves, and the locomotives preform better on 22 then 18. If I were you, call Atlas and talk with the maintenance department since they know a lot about your question from my experience.

@@hoscalereadingrailroadhobb6314 I was thinking of just getting this locomotive either way. Im just waiting on finding one at a good price.
