Ho scale Chicago Central layout update

Personally, I think I am starting to lean towards the lighter blues. My SAIL layout is similar to that blue you have on the CC. For my new LA shelf layout, I am going to use Behr Light Drizzle. My wife chose it for her new office color and it looks like it would be a great sky color. We have some leftover and I was going to give it a try, it looks similar to your LAJ blue there. I guess in the end, most photos I would take I plan to probably photoshop a real sky in, so I guess as long as the color is uniform, it doesn't really matter for that purpose..

I agree, I told myself I'd be okay with it but I was only delaying the repaint. In my mind at the time I thought different skies of different shades would be nice with vast shades of blue, especially with the CC layout being older (back before pollution was king) but it just doesn't look right. Love your layout btw, you inspire me greatly. Thank you, Dave B.

Dave, dude I’m so happy you’re making progress on your CCP layout! The blue for the backdrop looks good. It’s a nice warm summer tone so I dig it. The hazy blue for the LAJ layout looks fitting for the area.

DAVE!!! Glad to see you back at it and posting videos again. Layout looks like it will provide lots of switching and with all the locos, plenty of variety. I like the darker blue as I have some of that shade to use on my layout. Take care, my friend. - Brian

Hiya Bud!! Great work!! I see you've been quite busy getting everything together!! The background sky looks great on both layouts so i wouldn't change a thing (BTW, I can't wait to see the LAJ layout)!! I see you've even started on the Rivoli as you said you would and I find it interesting that you not only trimmed it, but you're using it for a background building just as I'm using mine!!
