Hoarding Junk can become a real problem when people have the space to store things, even with all the best intentions in the world to one day use them. That day never comes and what started out as a little here and a little there soon adds up to a lot of junk.
This a massive problem when people want to live off-grid and look for any bargain they can. Instead of looking for what they need for the project they are working on. They end up buying things just because they have space to store for another project they are nowhere near starting
Hoarding all different materials that you think will come in handy one day, can be a danger to you and the people around you. It can become a mental health problem and more often than not a problem other people are let to take care of after you are gone.

This is a problem that happens all to often people think they are saving money when in most cases they are wasting money having materials rotting away taking up space lucking untidy.

It is I have yet to see someone keep a clean place from day one and 99% of people with land collect anything they may think will come in handy one day. I try to collect for a project and then start the project soon as I have enough to start and then get the rest as I need it

🤣 That was almost a rant! Tell that mate of yours to give you them poles, the old bugger 😅 Good video, I agree wholeheartedly except for one of two things. We do need crap around the place at times! Wood, old wheels, bags etc all have their uses over time. But what I do is break them down! I'll de-nail the lumber. Remove wheels from carts, and stack the bags. The rest go in to a scrap bag or burned. Keep an area of around 20 x 20 ft square, with a gate and 6-8 ft high. All the crap goes in and behind there. Store the good wood (new too) under a tarp or roof in that area, out of sight. Until one has a barn, tidiness is important...and almost impossible! Cheers 🇬🇧

I know people will think "NO" I will use everything I collect. Trust me it's not worth buying things to have sat there for years just to save a few quid. It honestly isn't for the amount of grieve it will cause you either moving it all the time or just becoming a dangerous place for you and your children etc.
