We have one place in the city, (nearby), that rebuilds starters and auto/tractor generators. They don't work on "this type". Seems like everyone has gone to the disposable world.

Well.. at the end of the first part, you're doing what I would do.. BTW, I know a fella, goes by Doc, I'll bet if you can't fix it, he could use the engine on a lawnmower he's got 🤔

That engine is a good one! Dad said, it always starts on the second pull. (If I was 83 yrs old, yes, 2 pulls. But it started on the first). 😆 Doc

Looks like a failed rotor, vibration and gravitational forces due to rotation will challenge making a repair that holds.

I think one of the plastic zip ties that was on the winding, broke and created the snowball effect. Dad has sent it to a guy in South Dakota to be rewound.
