Weatherald needs to be given his opening spot back. Used to dominate a few years back from that position. Can comfortably do better than D'Arcy Short as opener, based on Short's form in the past few seasons. So Weatherald-Matt Short can be the better opening pair

Well Weatherald has been out of form for last couple of seasons. But still not sure Darcy Short is the right man as he is a slow starter and wastes the crucial PP overs. Again and again we have seen the same script from Short - he plays one or 2 decent innings every BBL but most time has these middling run a ball 30 which hurts his team more than the opposition!!

@@nishantthaccker1173 D'Arcy has lost a lot of his confidence I believe. He was the MVP opener in the BBL, for Hobart Hurricanes a few years back. But since he lost form, he has been nowhere close to his peak. With Travis Head and Alex Carey not being around, they should give the opening spot to Weatherald. Maybe use D'Arcy as a floater in the middle order.

6:33 If you ever wanted to see a typical Chris Jordan wicket, that is it! I have never seen a luckier bowler. I would estimate that at least 90% of the wickets he's got in his career have come about through batsmen getting themselves out when not giving one of his usual dreadful deliveries the treatment it deserves. I think it's fair to say that, as far as his bowling is concerned, Jordan is having a shocking BBL season! 1/33 from 3 overs today and that is by no means his worst figures in recent weeks! I just cannot believe that captains are still letting Chris Jordan bowl! You're asking a specialist fielder to do something he's incapable of! Jordan has always been a terrible bowler but he's been particularly awful for the past couple of years and at 35, he's unlikely to get any better!
