Unfortunate to notice that the number of women in the audience could be counted on one hand. Anyway, for the first time, I made a small UPI payment as token of heartfelt appreciation for all the good work. I think of buying "superchats" often in statsangs but refrain due to the fact that apparently, a major chunk of it goes to a giant MNC. Otherwise I have monthly payments set up for different causes but none of them are towards arts. (None for the builder-Banks mafia either.) Despite aur rich artistic traditions, I feel we are too far from the stage where art can be made a financial priority in life despite how badly we need it.

India is a country of poor. Where only 2% to 4% pay direct taxes. Slave mindset is still prevelant, even in glorified jobs. Mentally we as a nation are still at 1947. Its just optics have become better.
