Hobbit: Desolation of smaug deleted scene which wasn't even in the extended version. This scene was completely forgotten.
This scene from Hobbit 2 didn't have music, but I added it there to finish this unfinished scene.

This should have stayed. It really highlights how it wasn’t just the Dwarves who lost much. And how wrong it was if Thorin to not help the ppl of Lake Town after they helped Thorin’s Company.

Honestly the Dwarves (san Thorin, maybe, unfortunately) seem absolutely shocked to finally see what happened to Dale. As if they feel a bit of shame for only caring about Erebor and what was taken from them, even though they weren't the only victims of Smaug.

Why did they take this out?! Like seriously, not only does it show how much the men of Dale lost that day as well as the Dwarfs. But I feel like the movies lacked character moments for all the different dwarfs in the company and this scene has just that! From Nori comforting Dori to Bifur finding the burnt toy, it's great character moments for the rest of the company! Give me more scenes like that!!

That burnt doll from the very first scenes would have made such a great connection between the two movies! Great detail for the story...thrown away.

And it’s pretty fitting for Bifurs character as well. In the books I’m pretty sure he’s a toy maker so seeing that connection where he sees the charred innocence of his craft for children really seals how tragic the desolation of Smaug really was
