Fun facts
1: The aircraft in this video [BuNo 165536] now flies as tail #5 for the Blue Angels Aerial Demonstration Team.
2: My statement of 2 aircraft being painted in Maverick's paint scheme is incorrect. 3 F/A-18s were painted to match the paint scheme of Maverick's Personal F/A-18. These are:
-F/A-18E BuNo. 165536 (The one in this video)
-F/A-18E BuNo. 165667
-F/A-18F BuNo. 165796
BuNo 165667 is flying for the blue angels as tail #6 as of 2023. It has been spotted to be flying as tail #4, 5 and currently tail #6
BuNo 165796's (The F/A-18F) whereabouts are currently unknown, but it is speculated that it remains at NAS Fallon.
3: The Japanese Air Self-Defense Force painted one of its F15J fighters to match Maverick's Paint Scheme. Hobby Master and JC Wings have both released 1/72 versions of this aircraft.

The dual mounted AMRAAM launchers are called “Monster Racks” by us Navy pilots. The outward cant on the weapons pylons are for adequate weapons separation during release. Great review by the way.

I ordered the JC Wings version of this aircraft over 1 year ago and still waiting. I’m assuming they are having problems with copyright issues. I think I’ll have to pick this one up.

I have no clue what their issue is. It's been delayed for over a year now. I know they have them finished since I've seen pictures of it online but they aren't going to retailers. I'd go with the hobby master version instead, it's more realistic, accurate, and customizable than the JC wings version.

Well nothing's stopping you, so go for it! I bought the F variant from hobby master as well and it does include the decals so I was able to put them on both models.

@@rpgiv3175 I actually did. Just waiting for it to arrive by mail. Gonna be doing it after our helo GB. Die cast is becoming very boring. It lacks skill being a "hobby". Have fun and all the best to your channel!
