Back when I managed a GW store myself back in the day there was a girl who worked at a young women's accessories shop across the hall from us in the mall. She had a fancy for and started dating one of my staff. It didn't last too long and the day after their relationship ended she came in and started flirting with and arranged a date with a different member of my staff right in front of myself and her now ex-bf. We were both completely flabbergasted and shocked that had transpired right in front of us. That relationship didn't last long either and my two staff members quickly reconciled. I would later learn that she had gotten arrested, deported, and banned from entering the USA because she was involved in a sham green card marriage. This one time while she was still dating the first of my staff, the regional manager came in for a store visit. The girl came by the shop to accompany my staff member on his lunch break and shortly after the regional manager left to get some lunch as well. When the regional manager got back to the shop he pulled me aside. Apparently he found himself riding the escalator going up behind the girl and my staff member. He told me, "Hey... about your staff member's friend... her skirt is kinda short, and she's not wearing any underwear."

I got a bit of a silly story. Back in July 2019 I helped organize a 40K tournament, I even put up 1000$ towards prize pool(Top3, Last Place, and best painted army prizes). We had a fair turn up of players with some awesome painted armies(it was probably the hardest to decide who the winner was). Midway into second round of the matches, one of the players comes to me and the owner of the store about how a one of the Death Guard players was cheating. Apparently he was using a stratagem with a Deredeo Dreadnought that was FAQ'd 3 weeks before, so we went to investigate. Turns out, the player in question was cheating because his opponent did not know about the FAQ in question and was loosing. We politely asked asked the player to restart the match and not to try that. The player starts to get bit irate about being called out and I said as calmly to him to take that or lose half of the tournament points he got so far. He decided to up the rage and then the owner stepped in and said to him, and I quote: "Since you can't seem to behaving like a grown up adult(dude was in his 30s) I am giving you another chance now, either take half point loss, or pick up your shit and get the fuck out of my store now. Choice is yours." Dude took the loss of points and shut up about it while tournament continued. The ultimate irony is that he did not even need to cheat, he was doing well even without it, and probably would have won the tournament, instead because he cheated and threw a bitch fit he ended up being 4th place out of 16 players in the end. There was another significant moment at the same tournament that was less of a bad manners story, but more of what can be coined as a ultimate dice betrayal tragedy. Another Death Guard player was going up against Tau in round 1. Due to sheer misfortune he lost 60% of his army in turn 1 shooting phase. We all felt bad for the guy.

Ohhh, I've got a good one for you lol. Last summer a franchise LGS opened up in my town and became quite popular, dragging in a fair few of the more "fringe" people in the area. Enter "Rob" (not real name). Rob was already notorious for being a little eccentric and had a history of causing issues in the gaming scene here for over 20 years at this point. The owners of the LGS were unaware of this and I didn't want to be "that guy" and thought maybe he's chilled out a little considering he's the wrong side of 40 now so didn't say anything and hoped for the best... In retrospect I probably should have said something. I missed the incident, but it went something like this: Rob turns up with his magic the gathering deck for some pickup games. While waiting he walks up to a table of 13-14 yr olds playing pokemon and hassles them for "Not playing a proper game" and generally being creepy. Staff request he leaves them alone and eventually a magic player shows up and that's when the real fun begins. At some point in the game there's a rules dispute which results in Rob standing up and shouting at his opponent. Staff come over, point out he's in the wrong and Rob then starts shouting at the staff member, a 5'3 woman. Other staff ask him to leave and he gets aggressive (He's a fairly big lad) and eventually they tell him he's banned and to get out. He leaves, and situation over, right? Wrong. An hour later he turns back up with two police officers in tow. He'd called the police and told them he was concerned about minors being at risk in the store... After chatting to the manager they leave, they go outside and talk to Rob for a bit and walk off. Rob then sticks his head inside the door and asks "Am I still banned?" You can imagine what the response was. He then goes home and goes on a social media rampage leaving bad reviews and pens an eight page letter of complaint to the franchise head office, who then send in an area manager to do another investigation, all because a 40 yr old man couldn't handle being told his behaviour was unnceptable and didn't know the difference between an activated and a triggered ability. Screw you Rob, for making life so difficult for those nice people.

Oh yeah he was on this earth for 40years, but mentally, emotionally, he was 5. Maybe 8. Imagine these types at being that age, little kids, and when that fits with their behaviour, you got a hard case of Narcissism. The emotional immaturity is unbelievable, and we don't take it for what it is or treat it as we should when seemingly adults display it. The level of manipulative behaviour and playing the victim is beyond believable - it always is with these types. When they get rejected they only think about revenge and punishment. Hence the social media rampage and 8 page letter. That this one didn't truly believe himself the victim becomes evident in fabricating a story to the police, knowing they wouldn't have come for what was "done to him." So it's all just petty revenge and punishment. Basic drive: "If I can't have it, nobody shall! Charred Earth for everyone!"

12:50 You describe the standard "polyamorous" woman. They tend to have Borderline or other cluster-b-personality disorders where they cannot even form real emotional bonds and mistake that, or rather times of infatuation for "love." These things never end well for anyone involved. Especially when the claim is not even the result of magical thinking, but just a deliberate scam by psychopath. Have had to see that. We have one in town who even makes a game of homewrecking and accuses everyone calling her out as "psychotic", especially the wives. With her little cult-of-personality-circle enforcing that. It's baffling that this still continues after so many years and still people fall for it or are inside that little cult. She always starts the scam with trying to integrate the wife into the poly-relationship, while gaslighting the husband about his wife just being jealous and having psychosis. There's some effed up stuff going on in this world that sound too farfetched to write in fantasy stories.

Oh yeah, a lot of good artists (Particularly those crazy good at anatomy or with less modernist styles) are just kind of LIKE that, honestly. See, part of being good at drawing to the point of being a career artist is such that you look at a lot of naked people regularly, and becomes super desensitized to things like sexuality in art. People like this will look at like, full on hentai scenes are are like, "Umm yes, it's pretty good, but the perspective is a little flat' as your first reaction. All your other artist friends will almost certainly be the same, and if he's doing art on graphic novels, he's no doubt been to cons were these things are sold openly, in public, probably somewhat regularly. And, artists are kind of strange people to begin with. If he kept showing off art after a while, it's because to a certain breed of career artists, telling him to knock it off is like telling someone to not stick gum to the bottom of the table or to not eat outside food. That's not an excuse, mind. He should be aware of when a place has to be child-friendly and accept that once he remembers that most people are not cool with porn in public. But yeah, a lot of artists just kinda... don't have that same aversion to porn that normal people have, and that's why they act like this

KNOW YOUR WORTH! Don't be a clone of the handsome bloke because you want a girlfriend, she ain't worth it if you if it you need the right clothes and body shape. I get the sentiment Exile, but not the best advice.

The worst experience I had was playing AD&D back in the mid 90's. A friend and I were desperate to find a game so we joined a group for a couple sessions at a game store then got invited to play at the DM's and her girlfriends house. So my friend and I get there and once the 2 other people arrive we get the game going and at first everything seems to be going ok. The DM then starts to introduce NPCs that are doing and saying incredibly uncomfortable things to all the males in the group. I don't know if the DM and her girlfriend were fighting and she was trying to make her jealous or what but it was extremely odd. The girlfriend took things pretty cool and was a decent player. What really made the event bad for me is I always brought a toolbox full of Ral Partha minis in case a DM needed to use something for an adventure ( and as I ran games myself now and then). After awhile we took a break and my friend and I went out to smoke unfortunately I didn't grab my box with me thinking everything would be fine. After I got home that night I found out one of them or several had helped themselves to a bunch of my models. I went back several times to that house to confront them about my missing models but never did get them back unfortunately.

I was playing an intro game of 40k with someone at my FLGS who I met from work. After I asked where he lived he began ranting about a black person who broke into his apartment complex and he began saying they all needed policing and to be watched. I told him I had some work to do at home and never contacted him again.

A bit of background on the "Black Templar Logo:" The Iron was not invented by the Nazis. The German Army used it long before. It goes back to Prussia and before that to the Teutonic Order; Knight Templars. The German Army has retained the Iron Cross. It does not stand for Nazis, but for our Army. Socialists however love to play "Nazi-Cooties" wherein if a Nazi had ever touched anything it now has the Nazi-Cooties and noone else can touch the thing ever again or s/he to has "it" now, and thus becomes a Nazi. Our boys are stationed in crisis-regions for stablization and rebuilding efforts. The locals have reported that when they see this symbol, they see it as a symbol of safety and hope. Anytime you tell that to a German it leads to teary eyes. It is not something spread publicly for political reasons I'll let you puzzle out yourself. However, in spite of the latter implication, the Iron Cross was reinstated as our highest medal of honour about two decades ago. The Socialists were of course massively against it because of the aforementioned Nazi-Cooties (I think the Gramscian Culture-Destruction-Scheme is really behind that and the Nazi-Cooties are just the means/excuse for that end), but especially the outsider perception by the aforementioned locals has lead to decide for this reinstatement. The first batch didn't even go to German soldiers, but Americans, but who came to the rescue of ours caught in an ambush and outnumbered. Others went to heroic field medics, and in two cases they went to soldiers out of duty (civilian at home) who ran after and pinned down terrorists, until police arrived, that were about to knife people. Anyone who looks deeper into the red ideology can not in good conscience support it. I grew up in East Germany. I know what they mean when they whine "Our Democracy." The Stasi was no different from the SS, the Young Pioneers no different from the Hitler Youth. The Wall was no different from North Korea's border, where men, women, grannies, grandpas, little boys and little girls were shot for daring to want to leave that workers' paradise, where you worked all day for the luxury of the ruling class that allegedly magically dissappeared in the far future for some unarticulated reason, that was nothing but a prison. Support for this ideology only holds because its true history is omitted in school, because it's always left wing parties who always immediately go for the education ministries. In East Germany, past the Fall of the Wall, there was still no history about Germany post 1945. To my knowledge, that still has not changed. Instead we got movies about nostalgia for East Germany. Hearing Lenin quotes is no different than hearing Hitler quotes to my ears.

26:40 This is so painful to listen to... not because of you, but the events truly unfolding like that... I've seen it elsewhere, other hobbies... Those "politics" operate like a cult. It turns decent, naive, kind-hearted people into despotic douchebags. In Germany we got raised with the lines "Never again" and "Beware the Beginnins" but also we were conditioned to always look for that only on "right wing", when really it always comes from the Left wing - that is because the Nazis were falsely labeld "right wing" (right wing would be stuff like monarchy, anything that is NOT socialism, and the red socialists don't want to admit that the brown socialists were socialists because their atrocities came out and were rightfully condemned, so they had to pretend they against those beliefs when in reality they share them. Eugenics, antisemitism, brainwashing from childhood were always core elements or all Socialism, not just the brownshirts. It's baffling that with East Germany having gone at it for 40 years we somehow "forgot" that happened. 40 years just... didn't happen. Poland at least banned both the swastika-ideology and the hammer-sickle one, but they keep falling for the same policies in new parties anyway). This is simply why didn't notice "the beginnings" when they came from the Left. We were falsely told 1984 was about Nazis, when it was about Socialism in general. "The Wave" has disappeared from the curriculum, and the Bremerhaven university library has removed George Orwells works due to pressure from the student council to "not endanger the feelings of the students." These are the same types of people whining about parents not wanting explicit LGBT-comic books depicting the acts with children in their elementary school libraries. I have concluded: You cannot reason with the irrational. You can and should try, because you never know how deeply someone is indoctrinated, but the more emotionally immature someone is, the less arguments will do anything. You don't agree, you become the enemy. And that's how you got the red guard, the SA, SS, Stasi, and so on. They want to do good, be good people, and are told that in order to be good you need to punish all the wrongthinkers. Radicalization is surprisingly easy. Personally, I don't think arguments ever work on people who enjoy hurting others. That sadistic grin gives it away.

Fuggin lmao these stories are exactly what and about whom I figured they would be, it really can be brutal dealing with those kinda people irl. You’re spot on about the sweaty perverts, super thirsty, low self esteem bros and the attention seeking women who manipulate them to boost their own self esteem and I think you did the right thing sending her packing. The political guy sounds quite insufferable too, the one thing I truly loathe is preachy political talk in my hobby: I do this in large part to leave the ugliness and problems of IRL like that behind for a little while and the last thing I want to hear is some weirdo’s ideas about politics. Everyone else I can tolerate p much besides the shit stirrers like that woman and the marxist bro you mention, that’s just a little too much for me.
