FULL BUILD DIORAMA Italeri Ford Transit Bus 1/24 scale

This huge diorama withe the Italeri Ford Transit van in 1/24 scale took me between 300-400 hours to build. I painted he body already in 2017 but never finished it. I made a diorama for the bus to fit in and it contains two lady figures. They both wear caps, one of Max Verstappen and one wears a Lewis Hamilton cap. You can't tell I'm a Formula 1 buff right? 😄 I owe big credits to ‪@NightShiftScaleModels‬ and @gurufoxx for their awesome videos that helped me out with a lot of techniques. Hele mooie video! Het diorama is echt ontzettend mooi gemaakt. Wat een details. De figuren zijn ook heel goed geschilderd en die geven het leven erin naar mijn idee. Ik kwam je video toevallig tegen toen ik snel aan het zoeken was naar diorama's in schaal 1/24. Ik ben er al heel lang uit en de 1/35 modellen en diorama's die trekken niet meer. Ik kreeg toevallig een El Camino in de handen gedrukt in schaal 1/24 en ik ga het ook maar eens proberen dacht ik. Nu ben ik overtuigd om er echt mee aan de gang te gaan.

Absolutely lovely work. I have built one of these, but sadly I wasn't brave enough to do the gas labels on the side of the Transit. Maybe I have another go sometime. For UK guys, the gas meter is just a wonderful touch, so so good!

Really nice diorama. I've actually started sculpting my own figures because that allows me to make any scene that I want for my own projects. It's challenging, but extremely rewarding when you manage to get the right figure for the right scene.

Absolutely phenomenal stuff! One thing I've noticed is that the last digit of the number plate should be 'B' and not '8' . So, C469 BFB. This was an actual registration plate issued to a Ford Transit of the time. In the UK, registration plates for this era had 3 letters after the letter and 3 numbers. Hope you don't mind me pointing this out.😊👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Yeah, C-reg plate would be C nnn XXX for a 1985 vehicle. Prior to that, C would be 1965 and of the form XXX nnn C (e.g. my dad's old Viva was VUA 792 H for a 1970 car, and his works van PWB 900 R from 1976/77.

Greetings from germany! :D Great build, loved watching it. The rust spots look well-placed, too. though this van looks salvageable... I'm sure real-life Transitologists have brought back worse wrecks. ;) These machines have gotten rare here, too, you don't even get to see them on car meets anymore. :0 driving a 1974 Taunus myself, I wonder if Transit taillight bezels weather as bad as mine does; they are painted from the backside with transparent paint, and my car always loses the paint over the years. even NOS parts don't last long! I am curious if they all had that problem back when. or maybe it's because I have to park under the street light? anyway, keep up your work! :D

British Gas Ford Transit van! These were ubuiquitous in the 1970s and 1980s (before privatisation)

I was an pprentice with West Midlands Gas in the 1970's when the Gas Vans went from local Gas Board Liveries to this livery and the Gas Engineer I was working with was given one of the first West Midlands Gas Vans in this livery and we spent a couple of weeks going arround the different Gas Depot in Birmingham showing this van off a Bedford Van and the nick name this livery got was the ice cream van livery

Great build and weathering, That's what I do is use the chrome foil for the reflectors on tail lights, mirrors and head lights, it really works great And use a red sharpie marker to paint the tail lights, it has great transparency, it almost looks like the tail lights are illuminated.

Really nice build, super detail and distressing on the bodywork. Just one thing the number plate, its wrong for the van, plates of that era were three letters three numbers and a leter. example XAC 850H. That one seems to be too modern for that van.. other than that lol great build

Technically, the Italeri registration plates may be correct: The Mk.2 Transit was produced up to 1986, therefore the 'C' reg is correct for a 1985 vehicle.

9:01 The licence plate: C469 BF8 does not exist, according to DVLA website (in the real world). The closest match I could find was C469 BFB, which is indeed a 1985 Ford of some sort. The colour is green, and MOT & tax had expired in 2011 (so it has been off the road for some time now). Is that the vehicle you were going for?

Nice job, but if you want to be picky the number plate seems to end in 8, british plates of this period should consist of the year letter C would be around 1983-4 this is followed by three numbers then three letters the last two letters giving the area it was regersted

I love it! I remember those vans. Just a comment about the graffiti, the word ass isn't really used in Britain in the way you might think. I realise an ex British Gas van could end up anywhere but if it stayed in Britain the graffiti would be more likely the second s being changed to a y, or an h being added after the word Gas. There would also be at least one cock and balls on each panel 😂 Edit: yeah, Hull; definitely wouldn't be "ass". 😂
