I use one of those magnetic charge plugs . Love it. Leave it in and never have to worry about wearing out or breaking the charge port. I need to put my planes on a CD memory card and save them and update my NX8 but Im afraid too. LoL

Yeah I am so glad I had mine backed up on the chip on the old NX10. HH installed all my planes from that chip onto my replaced NX10. All I had to do was bind them.

I'd love to swap over to futaba! I feel you on the 100+ recievers, unfortunately. Get a 14MZ + 3 rx's for $600(ish). Futaba rx's, 8 channel, are $100+ per. I don't have $100K to spare at the moment. AND, I'll always need a spektrum tx being I'm the 1 that gets the 'privilege' to train new pilots. Thinking about trying an iX12 refurbished tho. WANT the ix20se, but DAYUM the $$$!!!😳

Well when you look at the bigger picture they all are good and have their downfalls. If am at the point to where I just have too much invested in Spektrum to change. Now the open TX radios may be a choice but it is not needed at this time.

@Fat Guy Flies RC I tried both versions of the open tx. Idk If it was me, or if I just couldn't grasp the programming/setup. It was, to me, like I didn't nor couldn't understand HOW to operate those. Probably just me. I'm old n set in my ways🤪!

My nx 8 has a wonky battery port also. I have to get it just right laying it on a towel or the green light won't stay on. Pain in the butt. Design flaw like yours.

Use 1 of the magnetic phone usb chargers. Another viewer stated & I agree 100%! MY nx10 & nx10se all came with a charger. ALL broke within 2 months.

@Old-RC PLANE-phart yes : use one of those magnetic charge plug inserts. Leave it in all the time. And the cords that come with the kit have a few different lengths. Love ❤️ it. And the cord even has a swivel end too. I 👍
