This is one of the better videos I've seen. My question is though for my helix chirp Gen 3, which is 2D Sonar and not side imaging or down imaging. Does that also get mounted to the underside of the plate? It is a XNT 9 HW T. Any help would be appreciated.

Great video...does the hummingbird adapter kit come with new kayak purchase or does this have to be purchased separately? I know new hobies come with adapter kits for transducers

Wondering why he put the humminbird adapter plate on there, went and notched out the holes, then when he comes back, the humminbird plate is not on, but the original plate is back on. No explanation.

I just noticed that too. Pretty sure because the transducer sits higher than the ducer plate. Making it useless.

Do the fittings you need for the bare red and black power wires on the fish finder come with the power system or do you have to buy them separately? This is a great series. Thanks!

They do come with the battery kit and the distribution hub.
