This one hits. It’s the little differences - how he says she made “that” Ruby Tuesday’s, talking about a specific memory. Even the new chorus with the fish in the sea lyrics and the chords hitting under those words. You can hear the pain in his voice - it’s way more personal than the recording and it really hits different. Beautiful

If you like this you should check out Watsky!! He actually is a slam poet AND artist (in fact Hobo reminds me of him a ton). I recommend for your first Watsky song: Seizure Boy (a song he wrote about growing up with epilepsy) because its form is very similar to the singing/spoken word style of this song. Other faves of mine are: Wounded Healer, Hey Asshole, Whoa Whoa Whoa, and Strong as an Oak

I feel like I have watched Frank grow up so much. He looks so much more like an adult. The growth of his music shows this so much too. I really love Hobo Johnson it makes me feel things I haven't felt since I was his age.
