I think both paper are good in their own ways. But still, I'm glad that I got a 5 years with the original paper. It always makes me sad knowing that something will be gone for good.

I love your art work! Any advice for someone who can’t draw or paint? Like where to begin. There is sooo much tutorials out there but very overwhelming bc sometimes “beginner” tutorial is not for me. Lol. Thx

Thank you so much! I like the sketchbookskool channel. The guy there also wrote a book. His main advice is to just draw it how you see it. It doesn’t have to be perfect. If you wanted perfect, you’d just take a photo. Lots of styles are “primitive” or have a child-like illustrative look. And it all looks beautiful! Just look up that type of art. So my advice is to just draw it however it comes out and add lots of color and detail and it will look great no matter what. And the more you do it, the better you will get. So by letting go of expectations, you will enjoy what you’re doing more, and do it for the fun of it. And by doing it more and more, it can’t help but grow :)

Love the original tomoe river paper. Before they changed over I bought out an entire warehouse of new old stock. Now I make all my own tomoe river paper notebooks in any size I want for life. They'll bury me with that paper lol Why they think they need to fix what isn't broken is beyond me.

I agree, the original was better. Not sure, it sounds like some sort of manufacturing issue and they had to make the change unfortunately. I did stock up on some notebooks with the old paper so I’m good for a while too lol
