My old job, I fought death. Losing meant my friend, my buddy, a man I called brother, they're gone. Dead. I would have to one day fly home and see that failure on the look of their wives faces, their kids' faces. Pictures of them holding that folded flag. Applying that same motivation to my current position, fighting a goal like I fight death allows me to compete as a 38 yr old man in collegiate hockey against kids who were born when I was doing my first tour in Kosovo. Kids who weren't even in high school when I was fighting in Iraq. Awesome video.
