I have some tips. This is coming from an irl goalie. On those breakaways, dont over commit to one side. Come out really high, and slowly back up as they come in. Try to match their speed too. That way, when they try to make their move, you will be in position for the shot.

The reason you scratch the crease is so that you slide at the correct speed. If the ice is too slippery you will slide too far and if there is too much snow you won’t slide far enough which is why the goalie pushes the snow to his posts when there is a lot.

Hey nasher! I know that this is probably going to get buried but here goes. I am twelve year old goalie for Mass. I noticed you were letting a couple of goals In from the slot. You should be about 3-5 inches from the creese when you are taking shots like that. Also, when you go down in your butterfly, always keep your stick on the ice, to prevent any possible five hole goals. Lastly, always stay square to the shooter, if you turn they have a huge amount of net to shoot on. If you do all of these things, you will save about 80-85% of shots accidentally. Bye!

You literally dont understand hockey at all if you dont think country doesn't make a difference. Hell even province and city makes a MASSIVE difference in Canada. I played in the GTHL and the Tier 1 Elite League in Colorado in 2009/2010 and those are the only comparable ones on the elite side. Most GTHL teams would murder most American AAA teams. Assuming we're talking Midget

Could tell by the sound of the blades you were on regular skates and digging in. Goalie blades have a thicker blade, shallower cut and so they slide better left to right. Nice job tending the net though!

The goalie side to side in front of the goal is done to create friction on the ice so when the puck slides towards the goal it makes more reaction time for the goalie to stop it and if its a slow puck it will stop
