I have a sniper skin grip currently on my game stick. I love it. Very easy to install and can be used pretty much immediately after installing. I also have a tacki mac command grip that I'm going to put on one of my other sticks and compare the sniper skin, tacki mac and regular hockey tape.

Hey Jeremy, is there anyway you could also say a bit in comparison about grip sticks? I don't know if you use them, but I got a few recently and haven't looked back. Just a grip finish stick with a taped butt end. Maybe a good idea for that weird butt end knob thing. Thanks for all the information! I definitely have used your tips for practicing to get better!

I started using electrical tape for the top of my sticks a few years ago, and I like the slick feel of it, but it's also cheap and it doesn't wear your gloves out

it's the glue of the tape that ruins your gloves. every time you grab it or move your hand some fibers get pulled off. I've been using Command Grips because they carry them at Canadian Tire and they are only about $10 Canadian. As much as I would like to try Buttendz they are about 5 times the price and the colours are all over the place. I can't just get purple, white or grey in the style I like.

Tacki Mac? They have been around for longer then all the others. I personally use Tennis overgrips, cheap, thin, lightweight and doesn't wear the gloves

I have been using Taki Mak grips for years. They have the perfect stickiness and last forever. I think that I have had the same grip for 5 years on 3 different sticks playing 2x/week year around. It doesn't affect your gloves at all and never really even gets dirty. I am totally sold on them. Still use tape on the blade for some reason that I don't know why.......

I used Russian grip, Tacki-mac, electric tape and a traditional hockey tape. From my experience Tacki-mac is the best. it has a good grip, good feel and durability. Heat shrink eats your palm, not like traditional tape but still. Russians are not durable. It may break after light contact with the opponent sick, especially when you do drills. Can find Buttend (you guys just can't imagine how stupid this sounds on russian :)) in Russia. But 30$ for piece of rubber... that's too much.

Connor Viau depends on a LOT of factors: height, weight, age, grip or no grip, how you shoot, and how much money you want to spend.

I loved my Russian grip at first so I decided to order another one with my name and number so I paid more for the customization. After two weeks the damn thing ripped at the bottom. I don't even know how it happened. I was super bummed. I had to cut the bottom off (which is the customized part) and now it's just a shorter grip. I wish they were more durable because I really love the feel and they are a great price coming all the way from Russia.

Nick Morales no it doesn't. I've had a black buttendz grip on my stick for 3 years and gloves with a white palm and there fine the only time I've had it happen is in the first few sessions with one I found a SLIGHT amount of rubber particles transfer over but this came off after a few sessions and I've not had a problem with it ever since

I use only a top nob and no tape at all down the shaft. so I'm only holding the real stick, and my gloves are in perfect condition. also it's really working

1 time with hockey tape my top hand teej got all tacky, idk what i did, maybe stretched it too much as i was applying the tape, but anyway the glue seeped through to the outside and it used to stick to my glove, annoyed the shit out of me and probably how my thumb got injured in da corners dat 1 time
