Watching this in cold February, waiting for the green to come back. I can’t wait to go hiking again.

Pretty cool that Patton Oswalt had time to narrate this. 😯

highly recommend checking out old mans cave. BUT!!! everyone plans a weekend get a way and goes there on saturday. Forget it! the parking is minimal. Once the lot fills no one else gets in. I suggest taking friday off or monday and plan on going fri during the day or late sunday to avoid the crowd

Throw aside the "geologic fantasy" and it's quite clear this was once a magical city, melted in an instant catastrophe among the countless this realms gone through. There's a very big reason they warn you to stay on the path in these parks. So next time, go where your gut tells you as they don't own the park. This realm is the remnants of the giants and titans before you, they left as many clues as they could of changes that always come. So get off the path, explore with open eyes, and the red brick will jump out of the landscape all around you. Much will look like varied sandstone, but they'll always leave there right angles and symmetry, no matter how fused or bulbous, for you to ponder, what really happened and when? For the layer sits right on top of the surface we walk and are taught to call a forest floor, or a bootleg, opium, boondoggle underground city built by Chinese after there 16hr railroad building shift, apparently? 😊

Place is nice but parking is horrible. Food options are ok but not great.

Enjoyed your video. What is the name of the river with the cabins. I love to fly fish and will be in the area this summer.
