Thank you again for this interview with Eavan. The depth of your questions, Grace, generates an exceptional platform for Eavan's poetry to radiate. I learn something more crystalline each time I listen.

from only reading a small number of her poems, I find her a brilliantly articulate poet. Poetry is not easy if you imagine doing it from the depths that Eavan Boland comes from to find her images and message. Nice to get to see her in this interview.

Hi mariannepb2325! I am NOT a Poet! Among my favourite poets are Thomas Shadwell, Colley Cibber, Nicholas Rowe, Thomas Warton ( The Younger ), William McGonagall and Alfred Austin. The Brave The brave do never shun the light; Just are their thoughts and open are their tempers; Truly without disguise, they love and hate; Still are they found in the fair face of day, And heav'n and men are judges of their actions. Nicholas Rowe ( 20 June, 1674 - 6 December, 1718 ) English Poet, Dramatist and Miscellaneous Writer. British Poet Laureate 1715 - 1718 A Poem By Mikey Pink Racing Car A pink racing car. A pink racing car. In my dreams I could go far In my beloved pink racing car. 2015 Do you read mariannepb2325?! I think to read entire novels and enjoy them and to remember the story line to them is genius! I can only read about 2 or 3 pages of an adult intelligence level book before my mind wanders and I get tired and give up. With Best Wishes! Happy Christmas to You and Your Family Cheers - Mike.

Her poetry is beautiful. I am so blessed to have met her, chatted with her about how one of my students fell in love with The War Horse. She was kind enough in 2016 to discuss it and read it to us that afternoon when that poem was not on her schedule. What she does with language and imagery is magical.

This is May 2021 and I have just purchased her last book *The Histories* (2020). A fitting farewell to a great Irish poet Evan Boland 1944-2020

Thanks so much for your kind comment. She was a lovely person, poet, and fierce advocate for women's poetry, indoor nature or not! Keep watching and reading!

I loved her memoir. A bit reserved in presentation here, but maybe that's me.

Her work for me is not poetry....but dull prose.

Maudlin and pointless conversational prose read in the tone of sanctimonious verse.
