On this episode we are joined by former Pro Rugby League Player, Tom Armstrong.
Aforementioned, Tom played professional for St Helens RLFC, Leigh Leopards (formally Centurions) and Toronto Wolfpack 🏉
Tom was always touted as an up and coming prospect within the sport, however, sadly injuries dictated differently. Injuries that doctors and health practitioners advised Tom, would never combat ❎
This led to Tom going on a downward spiral of depression, along with the news of his wife getting diagnosed with Cancer, and having a new born baby, Tom lead to drink and drugs as a means of ‘coping’ 💔
Luckily, Tom managed to counter act his demons, has recently set up his own series of businesses (Truelightsuk and True Athletic Limited) to help aid people with their own mental and physical wellbeing 💪🏽
Tom has also proved several doctors and doubters wrong, undertaking a plethora of endurance challenges over the years from marathons, to triathlons and everything in between; showcasing that only you get to decide when you’re down and out! 💯
