Biologically, they are hardened to loss, because men would often die earlier hunting, gathering, working, warring, whatever, women would bear that loss evolutionarily and move on to that next mate. I agree. Let me apologize if my original response sounded insensitive to those who are more vulnerable. There definitely are people who are more sensitive or vulnerable (and that's a good thing as a personal trait) but it does mean they are going to have a little harder life in "romantic" situations. And when I hear people say "it's just science" or "it is the way it is", they make it sound as if there isn't anything they can do to improve their situation. everyone has standards, and sometimes people have to strive to hit certain standards a little harder than others. we can't just eliminate the bar because it's harder for others to reach. hopefully those people have a good family that gives good advice to help them reach the bar even if it means working harder for it. and if they don't have a good family, then they're gonna have to work even harder. it's not ideal, "it's just science". I apologize if I came off arrogant or insensitive and hopefully this clarified things
