Toyota feared these trucks they were around before the Tacoma and just as durable!

Would you guys mind putting out a build list of everything you did?? The interior paint, the carb, shocks, steering components etc. I have an 86, which is the exact same as this 86 but with the hardbody cab on it instead of this 720 and I want to run through it as good as yall did. Definitely buying some merch and crossing my fingers

So…my dad just passed away and I have his old 720 king cab now. As a kid we drove it to to Maine from California and it was my first car in high school. He built the three story house that I grew up in with it and his brother’s b2200. It survived well considering 264k miles but this video has given me several great ideas and motivation in fixing it up. Thanks guys, nicely done.

had a 1984 4x4 in 1986 and drove it from high school thru college to 1993. 7 years of my life i will always cherish in large part because of this little rig that could go ANYWHERE and did: Arizona, Mexico, Washington, Oregon, and Los Angeles. thanks for the flashbacks 😊

My dad has a old Datsun by Nissan MVP 4x4. All original with the roll bars and off road bumpers and factory lift. He still drives it daily

I had one of these cool 720 King Cabs in Australia in the late 80s/early 90s. We had a canopy on the tub and used it for beach trips on Fraser Island and towing my Datsun 1600 (520) rally car. That truck was cool 😍 I did mod the stock Z22 engine, fitted the Z24 pistons and machined the crowns to flat tops for 10:1 compression, ported the head and build a good exhaust for it. It all helped to pull the trailer better 👌

My dream truck! I'm not one to enter giveaways, but this absolutely cannot be passed up!

Awesome truck! They need to make something this simple and functional again. The automotive industry needs a major overhaul.

Nice truck guys! I have an 85 ST 4x4 same color, maybe I'll win this one though! I am very curious as to the sniper efi unit you used as I was going to go the same route. I was thinking about a single barrel but you said you used a 2 barrel. Which unit did you use and what/where did you get an adapter plate to mount it to the intake? Love the builds, keep em coming!

They need to get back to making smaller trucks. There is an early 2000's Tundra long bed in my neighborhood(😍). A brand new Tacoma rolled in the other day and it was twice the size of the V8 Tundra. Those headlights look AWESOME on the Nissan. Looks like a great truck. KZbin, I have my notifications turned on for this channel and I was not notified.

They won't due to the way they can get more lenient emissions standards for larger trucks. The big trucks have high profit margins because rubes will pay anything for their luxury grocery-run trucks. Don''t get me started on the chicken tax that applies massive tariffs to affordable import trucks.

Nice work fellas. Would you ever consider doing a build on an old Samurai? I’ve seen some folks put a Rabbit diesel in them but it’s never a clean install. I’d love to see your take on it.

Nice compact truck....215k + miles. Head gasket ? Timing chain ? how they look. Would be my concern, no mention. I know you guys are thorough and go over every inch.

You mean 70's? 1980-halfway through 1986 all nissan pickups were the 720 years.

Bring back the little truck! Nowadays, a Canyon/Colorado is just as big as what a full-size truck used to be. It's overkill.

In the video it looks like the coolant temp and gas gauge are not working? They both sit at the bottom of their range the whole time.

They work! I'm not sure what happened there.

Ok, glad they work. It’s odd though, the whole video both those gauges are not working. Love these truck regardless!

Oh no, I remember now. It was just a loose connector. Sean noticed it and he had done all the work on the dash so he took care of it after we filmed.
