Tesla Giga by far more impressive.
@LarzB3 ай бұрын
Depends on what part. Tesla has some really innovative new processes and machines, which is easier if you start from scratch, but does Tesla have the same mass output per minute? You cannot just say it is more impressive without saying what is impressive. Yes on parts it is more impressive and on other parts the VW factory is more impressive.
@StrijpTalxs3 ай бұрын
@@LarzB There isn't a single VW electric car model that matches the Tesla Model Y's production volume on its own. The combined production of all VW EV models do not even approach Tesla's output. It is and remains as simple as that.
@StrijpTalxs3 ай бұрын
@@LarzB While it's clear that both Tesla and VW have their strengths and areas of expertise, my comparison is straightforward, unlike yours. Tesla's focus on innovative processes and EV-specific advancements, particularly in scaling production, A scale that VW has never seen in it’s lifetime. Period. VW's longstanding experience and infrastructure do allow for a different kind of industrial efficiency, but in a mass-producing factory, productivity and efficiency are what count. If someone can't read or doesn't want to understand, it's clearly you. A mass-producing factory's goal is to produce products with the highest productivity; that's what makes it impressive. Comparing the output type of one factory to another output type is an apples-to-apples comparison. Productivity and efficiency are the only things that matter in a mass-producing factory. Tesla dwarfs VW in the sense, not the other way around, and that's why it doesn't matter if we're talking about EVs or not-it's about mass production a car type. If VW's factory were truly impressive, they wouldn't be losing so much money on their new vehicle designs. The problem is that it's getting old, and using that as a plus won't go down well in history.

@@LarzB annual production Tesla Shanghai : 750,000 annual production Volkswagen Wolfsburg: 800,000 The Tesla Shanghai factory produces one car approximately every 42 seconds. The Volkswagen Wolfsburg factory produces one car approximately every 39 seconds. So Tesla is doing it and VW is not doing 16 and besides that production, Tesla is up-trending 5 years. VW is down trending 5 years (not even up to 2018 - 2019 level). Over 10 years even worse. Nothing impressive about that.

@@StrijpTalxs looked more into it and you're right. As said before I'm neither a fan of both Tesla nor vw.
