Hoek 51 "Annabel", built in 2003/2009 in a very strong and stiff wood-composite epoxy construction, creating a very safe deep ocean-going sailing yacht. Combining the elegance of the 1930s with modern underwater hull configurations. The voluminous interior layout has an owners' cabin forward and two guest cabins aft and is extremely well suited for a sailing couple with the possibility to accommodate some friends or two children. Her retractable centerboard (1.88 draft when centerboard up, 3.20 when centerboard is down) allows for shallow draft destinations. After winter storage and annual maintenance, Annabel will be back in the water shiny and glistening.

This boat keeps popping up for me too see everyday. It's a show stopper. I'm sure a dream too sail. Most of my picks are really nice boats but only this one is the one you can't take your hands off the helm. This boat becomes a part of you. The showers are a minor issue. The boat is a work of art and crafted to the highest standards. I would like this very much.

I think it is an amazingly beautiful sailboat. The interior is gorgeous, but if this boat was in my quiver it would be used for short social entertainment. A private chef and a server crew mate hired too entertain a small party of family and friends. For longer cruising ambitions I'd take the Oyster 57 out which can handle 6 guests more comfortably and provide bathing accomodations. A walk-in shower is a standard feature on yachts today. Still this yacht is a trophy yacht and would certainly be a very nice boat to own. I have 4 yachting locations I move to and frow. It's easier too have a boat in each location and as the seasons change, move and visit the next boat. Each location caters too a different style of cruising and boat. This boat would be good for the summer in Nantucket and Newport. The Oyster in the Mediterranean. My Bristol, a large RIB and A Fountaine Pajot for the Virgin Islands. And lastly a Bourne cruiser Elegant 48 for doing the canals of Europe.
