I like your research, everything you are saying is true, my parents worked on a plantation in Itta Bena, Mississippi, we finally were able to move after my father rented a house and land from a black woman who was part of the economic governmental project, it was hard financially for my parents. I often think about the Arabs in Michigan, who came over from their countries and were exempt from paying taxes for 7 years, then after the end of the 7 years, they would turn their businesses over to their cousins. They had an economic advantage. More research is needed in this area. I am too old now, but I am proud of you!

This Video is an eye opener. Every caucasian person who grew up thinking that Black people were given the same opportunities should watch this.

Shawn Rochester's approach is profound. Blacks that move out of the hood go to where there's ample resources because there's more opportunities. The "hood" wasn't designed by us. This is an excellent point.

Mr. Rochester is right on point. I learned some new things, was reminded of some other things, and heard some things I’ve been saying since 1986. As a financial advisor, I know exactly what the insurance agent was talking about. Until we understand the importance of leaving a legacy and creating generational wealth we will forever be playing catch-up.

This event was outstanding. We need to hear more information like this. Maybe in think-tanks. All I know is that more discussions need to happen around the topics that were highlighted at this event. Great job, I'm glad that I came across the video on KZbin.

Thank you for quantifying the problem in financial terms. I believe the whites know all this it is just us black people who did not know it. The gini is out of the bottle for blacks and now we have to present a coherent informed solution supported by figures. Of course the whites will argue and minimize the economics loss to blacks. The whites know all these and even more......thank you!!!!!

As the saying goes "The Numbers don't Lie!"...this is like that part in the Matrix movie where Morphius shows Neo the REAL world and the utter denial that follows! Why do we keep trying? Everytime u build the house they burn it down!!! But with ALL we have been through...I think we are doing damn good! Everytime they burn it down, we rebuild it bigger and brighter! Because let NO man break apart what GOD has put together! Good book my Brother...i will be purchasing one at full price!

Thanks Shawn for a nice presentation and history lesson. It would be nice if you touch off on how folks became slaves, where the origins began in Africa, who brought them over, what African nation allowed that to happen, etc. Did they volunteer than told a different story once they got to America? I'd really like to know that information.
