My 4.5" fixed blade Buck knife, wasn't up to heart punching a 250+lb boar. So I feel you all on the bringing enough knife for hogs. Even if you are not planning to use it as your primary tool for dispatching them.

Hog hunting is so great because its rewarding, it is challenging if you dont have 2000 hogs in a field😂 and its for a very good cause. They are a very dangerous pest for disease and for exterminating local biodiversity. I am a dedicated hog hunter here in germany however the only thing i disagree with is that they dont eat it in the US. Hogs can carry disease but here in germany we simply send a part of every hog to the labratorie and the next day we get the all clear to eat it. Its the law but one i actually appreciate it makes sense no meat is wasted and its safe

Schwarzwald area? I was there on family vacation years ago, we were out on the road looking for a place to eat during a monsterous summer thunderstorm. We got to this little inn, they served dinner. All of it game hunted in the area, including hog schnitzels. Best damn schnitzel I've ever had.

People do hunt pigs and hogs for food. The problem is on these large scale hog hunts your killing like 100 at a time. You cant physically store or eat all that meat.

I've killed two grey foxes earlier this year. Thermal scope...we have coyote and bobcat and fox all over the place here in Arkansas so I do a little predator hunting from time to time

That det cord is actually filled with C4 the US uses it for mine clearing

It is filled with PETN, which can be plasticized, but is definitely not C4. Closer to Semtex.

@@JordoValentino Mate you got no clue what we are talking about do you. It’s the M58 or the MICLIC. It’s a line charge that has 5lbs of C4 for every foot. They launch a rocket that this line charge is attached to then detonate it to clear a path about 110 yards long. It’s also useful in getting rid of entrenched positions.

I’m not an expert hunter, but when we hunted hogs, we used dogs and then stabbed the hog once under the front leg with an average sized pocket knife. Going for the heart seems misguided and unnecessary to the point of being cruel.
