You can visit now no issues water will be there and just remember it will be really hot there, go early morning and come back by 12 will be best

Yes there are few more option other than hotel Tamilnadu, CM hotel & GTR royal palace cottage are other options... You can cover Crocodile Rehab center and Parameshwari temple and while returning can cover Krishnagiri Dam..
