Hogwarts House Book Recommendations | Hufflepuff

It's funny, but if you really think about it, The Lord of the Rings is a Hufflepuff story. Underneath all of the epic and battles there is kind and determined Frodo who is willing to sucrifice himself to help the others. He's not a Gryffindor, Aragorn is a 100% Gryffindor. He doesn't fight, his strength is that he is willing to do the right thing, so he just goes on. And then there's Sam, who is basically an epitome of Hufflepuff.

I would also recommend Percy Jackson as a Hufflepuff book because of Percy's fatal flaw which is loyalty. I strongly believe that Percy would be in Hufflepuff, I mean his fatal flaw is loyalty which is one of the main traits of this house

AVATAR!! Aang is 100% Hufflepuff. Toph I'd say is Gryffindor Katara has Gryffindor qualities but I'd say she's also Hufflepuff. Sokka is ambitious enough to be Slytherin but he has a sort of eccentricity to him that seems Ravenclaw to me. Zuko is Gryffindor I'd say.

Out of all your Hogwarts house book recommendations, this is my favourite so far, and I'm so glad that it also happens to be my house!! I screamed (well, internally) when you pulled up Carry on, Ari and Dante and the Avatar comic series (although I've only watched the TV show as of yet...). I love all three of them so much and I'll definitely be looking into Passenger and Nora & Kettle! (I also love how two of these books featured gay protagonists, very fitting for this month). A book that I would like to add to this list (if I may), is The Song of Achilles. I think it follows the loyalty path extremely well, and the relationship between Patroclus and Achilles is just such a tight bond that was so strong and it's left such an impact on me. I read it at Christmas and I loved it so much I pulled an all nighter just to finish it. The main point of the story was their relationship and it's a beautiful relationship at that. Thank you so much for the video, I loved it!

I think i actually read some where that Neville actually asked the Sorting Hat to put him in Hufflepuff but the Sorting Hat put him in Gryffindor instead. So pretty much the opposite of Harry, who was going to be put in Slytherin but asked to be in Gryffindor.

I would include "Threads and Flames" by Esther M. Friesner in the Hufflepuff book category. It's a wonderful historical fiction YA book. Raisa, the main character, is a sweet, loyal, and strong young lady who travels from Poland to start a new life in America. She faces hardships and strives to keep promises to herself and others through hard work. She meets many characters who for into other houses but I definitely think Raisa is a true Hufflepuff.

Watership Down is a very Hufflepuff book for me. Aside from being about animals, it's a story about intense loyalty. But for me, what puts it over the top is that the leader of the band is a disabled rabbit, but because he is kind, and brave, and selfless when it comes to taking care of the others, they all defer to him, even though it's in their nature to follow someone bigger and stronger, like a Gryffindor. Definitely a Hufflepuff book.
